Which version are you playing? For example if you're playing week 1 Alpha you only need to install three item's from that DM patch.
To install the patch, copy the following from the patch to the same place in the main game:

• archive_dm.rpa
• patch.rpy
• game/menu/options.rpy

Enable dark mind in the options menu. Turn on kinks you want to see.

I have a serious problem. I am missing 90% of the in-game images. I have the lightly compressed version, and images are missing for both the .app and .exe. I just solved a previous error that made the game unplayable but this is even worse. I'd really appreciate some help, as I've waited far too long to play this game.

I played the lightly compressed version with Dark Mind without issues. For you to be missing images suggests a bad install of the game in some way. You need to install the week 1 game in its own folder, not over previous versions.

If you are using the dark mind patch make sure you use the week 1 version (click previous versions, scroll to the bottom where you see Week 1 - Final and download that) install it in the main game folder (for example mine is labeled EcchiSensei-Week_1-light_compressed) and let the patch overwrite the files.

You cannot use any saves from previous versions so you need to start again.

You likely are playing a version that you patched with the wrong version of the Dark Mind patch.
I assume you're playing the full week 1 and you just patched it with the day 8-9 patch. That won't work.
1. Go here:

You must be registered to see the links

2. scroll to the bottom and click "show previous versions"
3. download the week 1 patch, it's like 2.5 gigs because it contains your missing pics.
4. patch & fap.

According to BlueCat on Patreon BlueCat said in his post for the Alpha and Beta release

"So we advise against trying to load saves from Week 1.

We also don't recommend checking the char info screens, the calendar, and the image and scene galleries."

You most likely get errors doing so.

If it's the same as the individual days before the merge then an ecchi sensei folder will have been created on the root of your storage. Place the dm patch in there.
