We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and a great start to the new year. We took a short break over the holidays and now we are back and ready to dive in. We have a lot planned for Edgefield in 2026, but for now, let's take a look at what we've been working on in the last month!
1. HookUp App / Feature Update Overview
We want to take a moment to set expectations for the upcoming
HookUp App Update. As noted on the roadmap, this is a
Feature Update. Rather than advancing existing storylines, its focus is on introducing a brand new game system that will become a long term part of Edgefield, while setting up a pipeline so we can easily add new characters and animations in all future updates.
In this update, players are introduced to the
HookUp App and can swipe through a rotating pool of around thirty profiles before matching with two characters, one male and one female. These matches unlock repeatable evening encounters, each with their own progress meter that increases every time you invite them over. In the future, this system will unlock new sex positions. For now, each character will have one position available, along with an optional xray view.
Progress on this update is moving along nicely! We're finished with a large portion of it and are working with an animator who has been crushing it. We're really excited for you too see their work!
2. Dorm Lobby Background Change
In order to create a permanent place for you to find Jesse and/or Jane, we're making a change to the dorm lobby desk so they can properly perform their Residential Assistant duties! Good luck sneaking anyone in after curfew ;D
3. Jun Update Progress

Jun's Update is under way! With a lot of the work finalized for the HookUp App, we've begun work on Jun's update and will soon be adding that info to the
Miro Board for our Patreon supporters who are interested in a behind the scenes look at our production schedule. Check that out

4. Jun Update Poll
We have a few polls planned for the
Jun Update, and we are excited to start sharing more details about them soon. These polls will give you a direct hand in shaping the Jun update by helping decide the look of several brand new minor side characters who will be introduced alongside her story.
5. Playtesting
Because this HookUp App update is smaller in scope than Welcome Week, our playtesting needs will be more limited as well. We are still deciding the best way to handle playtesting for this update, so if you are interested in helping out,
do not message us, but keep an eye out for more information coming soon.
6. Ella Wallpaper
Ella’s exclusive wallpaper will be coming soon for all Junior and Senior tier supporters. We are really excited to finally share this one with you, so keep an eye out for it very soon.
7. Progress Trackers
We're getting close! Writing is finished, art and animations are nearly complete, SFX just needs to be implemented and a few small scenes need to be assembled!
