Ok, so, as a first time player, starting new runs from scratch, every encounter I get into is 3-4 enemies of greater stats than my starting team. The only encounter I even came close to beating, was due to the enemy wasting turns failing to grab the Scout... and even then, my team was almost fully fainted, with my last 'mon at a sliver of health, only to be followed up by a fourth enemy in the same encounter.

I did see that fights are supposed to be challenging, but challenging is quite different from 'unwinnable'. What the hell am I doing wrong to immediately party-wipe to the first encounter every single run attempt i've made?

Lowk the strat is to let the evolved enemies grab you and only fight the unevolved enemies

That would be great and all if there weren't multiple evolved enemies in about half of the encounters I've been in so far... and if the unevolved monsters weren't capable of completely exhausting my team before I even get to the evolved enemies...

Edit: Digging through the inventory, we apparently start with an evolution stone that works for any type, and there's another stone of a seemingly random type available in the first screen of the meadow, which might help some...

A mixture of immediately evolving a 'mon, running away from most battles, and Offering the first evolved 'mon in any given encounter seems to be working wonders, without having to sacrifice the first Scout.

...though, uh, I seem to have encountered a bug where all opponents are permanently stunned? I have no idea what would've caused that, aside from maybe Mamamole being bugged, since i'm not getting any EN regen either. I'm using this as an opportunity to explore a bit, but I'm definitely discarding this run and starting anew at some point.

Edit: Whatever the permastun bug was, it either eventually wore off, or camping reset it.

Edit 2: Somehow encountered the Stun bug again. Spamming Submit quickly drove the 'turns until impreg' counter into the negatives!

Edit 3: Backreading in the thread a bit, it seems like this is just the last remnants of a known (and mostly fixed) bug, huh? I AM on the latest version, mind you, and Para does seem to work properly, so I guess the dev just didn't check Stun when fixing the Para half of the bug?

i only do health and ap, use 4 bytes and find the initial health or ap then make a move then after your health or ap changes look for the new values.
should take 2 tries only

December update is live. Screenshot 2025-12-16 at 11.50.31 PM.png

Bug: The two new scouts do not show their pregnancy portrait when impregnated. They also do not show up in the camp menu unless mounting occurs.
Bug: The two new fruits cannot be consumed, even when a mon has yet to eat any fruit
Bug: World sprite remains as Tesla, even when playing as a different character after Tesla is impregnated and you swap scouts.

Hey Invader if you still read this thread got a bug report. Lost the electric scout, respawned as the new flying scout, and I respawned in a completely black, blank area

The blank screen spawn I've seen before in earlier versions, and is one of the main reasons I gave up on this game until the dev finally makes a save system.

Any plans on a linux port?
You can use Steam to run this game and many others on Linux. It is easier for me than wine. If you are worried about your friends on steam finding out, you can turn your profile invisible. I'll try to guide you so you can try and run the game:

Does anyone know if there will ever be a gallery function? The animations are so fun but are so vexing to get - the game does feel made to be well nigh unplayable. I've gotten decently far a few times but honestly I'm not sure how I did it; there isn't a healing center or a way to get mons healthy again between fights.

Anyway. A gallery! Anyone know if that might be in the works?

i dont think there is gonna be a gallery any time soon since there is other stuff the dev has to do
like adding a save system and adding more monsters and finishing the story etc.

You can heal your mons with items in the overworld

I don't think you can since the game is designed to be a roguelike, but you could save monsters to use on any future playthroughs.
which is weird, most turn based rpgs, specially ones with very expanse worlds (for very long plays) have save feature exactly so you can give a time of the run and start it when you come back.
those are essential, games like Noita or TBOI (They're not nsfw games nor even published here) have VERY LONG RUNS overall, because teh developers know the maps/stages are enormous (if you accumulate them that much) and you gotta squeeze each portion of the map to ease your run on future, with so many mechanics and things to take care, SPECIALLY on a turn-based game (Turn based games ALWAYS HAVE LONG RUNS)
by having save feature, it allows players to explore/study the game while also having their break. (What i'm saying, are that people naturally will avoid exploring the map, and trying always the linear route realizing the lack of save, out of fear to waste time on something and get punished by it.)

i think the developer still shouldn't add a save system like your average pokemon game where you lose and "woopsie... lemme save scum baack to life", Dev SHOULD KEEP the permadeath stuff, it's a roguelite after all, but at least saving the run you didn't lost yet.
