They adapted the plot to give her some more screen time without changing the story in any way.

You are asking them to completely rewrite the plot because he *wrote a character too well*. That's not how stories work. Again i suggest playing 'the neverwhere tales' to understand that someone being a compelling character and love interest doesn't mean they're going to be around forever.

But it's not a valid complaint. It's just people screeching into the void because a story didn't have a plotline they wanted.

It's an unfinished product. It will be subject to change. Sometimes advances in tech on their own mean that the entire game needs to be started afresh (see desert stalker).
I bought this game on Steam, I didn't steal it from here. It was not sold as "early access" or any of that shit. It was supposedly the entirety of Book 1, next book would continue the story. Only patches expected, at that point, would be bug fixes or feature additions. NOT AN EARLY ACCESS GAME.

The problem was that the game didn't meet the dev's somewhat ridiculous expectations. The game was interesting, but nothing extremely wonderful. It was good, not great. Art was good, LIs were hot, great worldbuilding and decent plot, animations and sex mostly boring and unimaginative.

It wasn't hyped enough. Note the lack of mods and walkthroughs available, no fan-made content, it doesn't have a following. Why were they expecting high sales? Everything after that was a total clusterfuck.

Look, gooner, just because you have reading comprehension issues, don't blame me. Think literally whatever you want, it doesn't matter to me. Drool over your dev all you want.

I never asked anything of the dev, just explained the facts which you choose to ignore. I never said to give Lyria back (which today's post indicates that he's doing, despite saying that he wouldn't), just explained why I was upset she was removed. My only choice is whether I choose to continue with this game (which, again, I paid for), or to just wipe it from my drive and move on. There's no shortage of games to play.

Porn games really do give people a particular type of brainworms.

It's the dev's story. It's a long story of multiple books with a wide scope. You are demanding they change the entire thing because you caught feelings for some pixels.

I was also saddened by lyria's exit, but the current state of play makes perfect sense from a character perspective. Apparently she WILL be returning to the story at a later date anyway.

You could argue that the dev made a mistake in the way he curated their relationship because it created certain expectations, but a key part of the plot if the MC basically abandoning his past life and personal desires to go on some ideological crusade. Those expectations are your problem. Are AVNs just not allowed to ever have female characters die or leave? It's a ludicrous notion. I hope you never play 'the neverwhere tales' because if an elf no longer being an LI gets you upset you'll never recover.

It's also not helped by f95 and this thread previously having a banner that portrayed her as a key LI and the sample pictures showing her multiple times. Someone should really change and update the latter.

There's a long character arc. There's plenty of time for characters to reappear or disappear. get over yourself
Wow you are really into the Dev eh! He has a responsibility to his readers - if he doesn't get them to like/love the story he is the one that dies. So when he made the mistake to get them together in the first place he was screwing with the readers minds. And also in the fantasy world the characters are not supposed to be just pixels they are real in this story, no less than a person reading a book

The dev also made sure we know that Elves mate for life, never cheat, etc.. Why would we be upset if we mate with her, then she disappears?
