The story is solid likeable... The MC... Makes me not want to continue and wished the dragon really fucked him off permanently... Such a whiny brooding bitch... Lived so long, learnt nothing except how to be more of a broody bitch...his thoughts are excruciatingly sad and selfish... He made me curse several times through the first half of chap. 1.... Oh jeez what's next... Strings of.... Was going great until it got kicked in the balls... I'm guessing some level of mental anguish is required to see this one through eh??

I finally got around to playing the DLC. Straight away I am wishing the intro could be paused or slowed down for my old eyes to read. I was sorely disappointed the fight with the Champion was passed over. Instead we get a text saying not only him but many other champions were sent and Eliot felled them all. I think I can speak for the other fans of this game that we wanted the visual satisfaction of at least seeing that first bastard go down by Eliot's hand.

It feels like they got tired of the game they started, wanted a different game, and just changed one into the other.

Really enjoying the story and the eventual direction it plans on heading into. I understand I'm still early into it, as I've only just reached the part where they take the nobles' castle after the fort was revealed to have a particular achilles heel. I have to keep reminding myself not to get too attached to Lyria, as I also liked her a lot, for me it was all the time she spent with the MC in their early years together.... she was something of his heart, and always was going to be something of a reminder... grounding him into being the better version of himself.

That said, I can respect that her role is to advance HIS story and sadly once she serves her purpose, their paths ultimately go in opposite directions. I hold out hope that she will come back one day... and take her place at his side for the remaining years she has left. In the same way, I had hope Elvira would be more important to the MC, I'm a romantic at heart and them being forced apart by her father kind of left a bitter taste in my mouth, but maybe they just were never meant to be together?

I do like Aria... and Eris, for that matter. It's painfully obvious how Eris feels for the MC, and I hope her love won't stay unrequited. While I don't exactly get the same kind of feelings from Yana towards the MC... I do love me some monster/demon girls, and the whole taboo of a forbidden relationship (also why I like elves), so even if they don't have a totally open relationship where Yana becomes one of the MC's wives, I do like there being something between them... even better if she also gets pregnant and has baby.

There's never been a more truer war fought than war of faith, for if people will not fight for what they believe in, what else is there to fight for?
one of the dumbest things I've ever read and I haven't even started the VN yet.

Faith is belief despite the lack of verifiable facts, pretty much the most stupid reason to fight a war.
Faith is the antithesis of logic and reason.

Yeah, I could agree with fighting a war for what you believe in if it's a worthy cause in a real-world sense, but if we're talking about beliefs in terms of religious faith...then there's been so many useless wars fought over that or at least made to seem like they were fought over that (rather than in actuality conquering or domination or stealing/taking resources).

Can anyone tell me what Happens to lyria; me playing the game depends on it. If something bad happened i will drop it now, don't want heartbreak

They adapted the plot to give her some more screen time without changing the story in any way.

You are asking them to completely rewrite the plot because he *wrote a character too well*. That's not how stories work. Again i suggest playing 'the neverwhere tales' to understand that someone being a compelling character and love interest doesn't mean they're going to be around forever.

But it's not a valid complaint. It's just people screeching into the void because a story didn't have a plotline they wanted.

It's an unfinished product. It will be subject to change. Sometimes advances in tech on their own mean that the entire game needs to be started afresh (see desert stalker).
What are you talking about in Neverwhere Tales. As far as i have played no Main Lis leave or die. If you are talking about phinabar the elf, she was not main Li.

You can forget about the game. Lyria is gone without comment, replaced by an imperious and jealous creature, half human, half dragon, whose intentions are completely unclear, and to top it all off, a second MC that no one needs.

Not according to the recent update from the devs. Lyria may be coming back due to outrage. The secondary MC is avoidable.

Of course, a developer won't explicitly say that when a main character is gone, it would ruin the fun of the game and drive players away.
If it says “could,” that also means, conversely, that she will never be seen again. Thanks, I'm out.
A second MC, whether DLC or not, is an absolute no-go.
And Mystic has clearly stated what he thinks of other people's opinions: absolutely nothing.

Yes. That's the point.

But we all built an emotional attachment to her anyway. And she died. Gone.

Lyria isn't dead. She's set to return in the future. But she isn't a main LI and never was, so it's bemusing that you seem to care now

That's incorrect. Lyria was the first LI, was a main LI. It wasn't until later that she was retconned, then removed.

What happened to the ending of this game? The game cuts off the final confrontation entirely and then skips to 6 months later with the MC hiding somewhere in the desert...umm...what? It takes a while for the DLC/epilogue to work up to eventually telling us the MC just walked off into the desert and disappeared 6 months prior...which would be after the confrontation with the lunatic chosen in the throne room...sooo he didn't die, this time...he walked away. Meaning he probably defeated that chosen? But is now hiding from the other gods and chosen. But why in the hell don't we get to SEE that confrontation? And the whole point of the MC getting a kingdom was to be there to support Hamor in the coming conflict...but MC ran away instead. We are told that the decisions made in that DLC/epilogue will be important for the sequel...meaning the sequel will pick up long after the ending of this game. So WHY didn't we get to see the confrontation with the chosen and what happened?

Oh and there was that other dude that was introduced out of nowhere late game and we were told he'd have more choices and DLC dedicated to playing as him...and then he had a single choice, was promptly pushed aside, and the MC ended up being the focus of the DLC with lots of choices. I'm guessing players weren't huge fans of that and the dev was forced to change plans...which I am glad to be honest. I wasn't a fan of that apprentice dude appears out of nowhere shenanigans either.

All of this absolutely reeks of severe and repeated rushed changes and re-writing of the story by the developer late game. And the ending and so-called DLC kind of suck to be honest.
