I couldn't either, or didn't have the patience to figure out the patterns so I cheated getting the card you'd win. Seeing what you win from her compared to the cards she has at her disposal, I'm glad I didn't put the effort in or I would have felt robbed for sure. Much like in The Witcher 3 with Gwent, I found I didn't enjoy this game's card minigame, even before it felt heavily skewed against the player, but I like to collect the cards so I used the console method mentioned earlier.I can't beat the card game in the latest game. She is too powerful.

I kinda doubt it unless enough of the patrons ask for it, and even then I'm not sure he would. Worst case scenario, it's a singleplayer game so using the command is harmless beyond the time taken to mod the game to do so. Personally, I'd like to learn how to find out what card you'd get for each game and compile a list to provide a heavy duct-taped method of getting the prize without winning for those who like the linearity of getting them like that.
Variety, mostly. I don't mind most, in fact, I liked most of the ones in BaD (didn't like the new fighting system but that's the risk of experimentation), but self-made card games are almost always a pain, in my experience. Give me blackjack and I'd be fine, Texas Hold 'Em and sure. Hell, give me Top Trumps to be setting-accurate and all's gravy, baby (pretty sure TT originated in the UK, at least but I'm struggling to find any concrete answer) but these made up ones are so rarely well balanced... unless that's the sadistic point, which means the chance of the dev including a "Skip and win" option is completely out of the running.
Currently there's not really 18, that's an "in time" feature. Currently there's only 8-10 you can get with, depending on how you count it, with early steps working towards another 5, all depending on paths chosen. Currently, I'd say they're all pretty decent depending on what you're looking for. Right now, 4-6 are more like fuck buddies than long-term relationships though later progress could see that change.

Yeah, All we can say for certain is you can choose from a pool of 18 love interests. It's still far too early days to actually know, but we don't know if picking one locks out another.
No worries. People only have so much free time available to them so it makes sense to check before considering since some of these games can be serious time sinks before you can really know if you like it or not. Currently, EU is pretty short. Depending on your pace, you could get through all 3 episodes in a handful of hours, couple of free evenings at most.
