Already done - 4 posts before yours. By some random dude called 'WankerWare'.gonna be on of the rare games im gonna actually care about a I patch for when someone makes one haha
So either ultraviolet or infrared backers need to release the thing as of now, don't be so silent guys c'mmon.update is out
edit: made a request thread https://f95zone.to/threads/elmwood-university-episode-3.236551/
Infrared backers should get it tomorrow (I think). Given that tier is almost half the cost of UltraViolet, it's possible we'll get it then. If not, the next tier to get access is Gold in about 8 days, which is all but guaranteed. So either ultraviolet or infrared backers need to release the thing as of now, don't be so silent guys c'mmon.
Engrish? I had the impression that the Dev was from the U.K. But maybe I am wrong.i dropped the 30 burger on it since i didnt pay for it initially but ep 1 and 2 were a blast and this has some potential outside of the usual slop. it's still a fun af college avn outside of some engrish here or there. Could use a proofreader on a few things but nothing major. Had some doubts going into ep 3 but so far so good
Patreon does not allow incest. Why do you think there are so many landladies and stepdaughters?Wait what happened? Did Pay-tree-on get upset over them being twins?
I was debating dropping a few pounds on it myself as I was more than impressed with chapter 1 and 2. But want to wait and see if it actually gets anywhere as the ambition might put a halt to thingsi dropped the 30 burger on it since i didnt pay for it initially but ep 1 and 2 were a blast and this has some potential outside of the usual slop. it's still a fun af college avn outside of some engrish here or there. Updated for the Ep3 Fix (2024-12-22).(Updated patch for new InfraRed version)
Simply do the following (if you don't want Tasha and Ashley to be "dopplegangers":
1 Download and extract the main game like normal
2 Download these two files 'e2' and 'e3' (no need for Ep1 patch as tashley weren't in it)
3 Drag these files into ElmwoodUniversity-Ep3/game/
4 They will replace the boring e2 and e3 files - click yes when it asks if you want to replace
5 TeamTashley time!
Feel free to share these files anywhere! They're just two text files that replace boring words like doppleganger with fun words!
If you encounter any issues you can say so here - including any boring words that I've forgotten.
Love,
WankerWare
A lot of "Engrish", even in some high quality VNs comes from the "flow" of conversation. Like it may technically be correct grammar and spelling but the actual conversations come off as awkward. I suspect the person who made the comment is AmericanEngrish? I had the impression that the Dev was from the U.K. But maybe I am wrong.
The grammar and spelling has come up before to be honest. Spellings and Typos some slip through every now and then. They soon get fixed.A lot of "Engrish", even in some high quality VNs comes from the "flow" of conversation. I'm a professional proofreader and I'm English, and I can't think that I've noticed anything much to comment on here – I haven't played Ep3 and it was a little while ago that I played Ep2, but nothing came up from the first two eps that would make me take note (you'll always get some typos/minor errors, but that's not a problem in itself). The grammar and spelling has come up before to be honest. Spellings and Typos some slip through every now and then. They soon get fixed.
The grammar, while I've not really seen anything wrong wrong with it. I'm a lad from the UK so his conversation flow is natural to me, but people have pointed out it is indeed wrong. I think this is a "lost in translation" thing. That is to say it may work over here and generally be accepted, but when and English speaker from outside looks at it, it's wrong.
The example I gave last time, though it's not in the game, is when Americans use the phrase "could care less" this is wrong as it implies you care levels have room to drop. The correct phrase is couldn't care less. But the incorrect phrase has been used so much and often that's it's just the accepted norm.
Ah yes, I remember that! And yeah, the other thing to note is that most of the text in these games is dialogue, and that doesn't follow the same rules. Well-written dialogue would be written "as we speak it", because if it was held to the same rules of grammar, it would sound unnatural a lot of the time. That's where your US favourite of "could care less" comes in - it's wrong, but people do (incorrectly) say it, so using it in dialogue is not always wrong. Typos should still be eliminated as much as possible though, unless used to suggest accent or similar (like using "nuffink" instead of "nothing" as an extreme example).Ah Tony, pleasure to see you again...
You were actually around the last time this was brought up, it was a spoke vs spoken argument. Well not really an argument. More a very short discussion.
It's as I said, things others are considering grammatical errors, (while they are errors) they are use that way everyday in English it's become the norm so to a UK resident it just doesn't seem wrong, where as to others they are like what?!
