Does anyone know where I am supposed to click during the tutorial after unlocking a talent as I tried and it just stays on that?

So far only downside of the game is too many options. It slows down the game and becomes a distraction as virtually every frame has choices.
The mod is always updated about a day or so later than when it releases. You can get it ASAP by going to their patreon instead and paying for membership.

I would just like to point out that some of the choices given for the flags are wrong, orientation of the flag matters when it comes to the stripes and crests.
