My guess would the cheer girls are the focus right now because they're the easy girls while the others are the slow-burn characters and will become much more prominent as the MC builds his relationship(s), possibly even going from heavy cheer girls to balanced to heavy LIs, depending on choices.
Edit: I'll also add Chloe and Jordan's scene to the list too. They're very sweet, Chloe especially, even if the PDA gets a little annoying and I can't help but wonder if the reason she wanted to meet up with the MC is the first stirrings of her considering MC for a third.

The thing is, that's not the right way to do slow burn, it's just the lazy way. Yeah, easy girls should be easy to get, but they can also show depth. Which WW only partially took advantage of this episode.( I made a post about this and what he should have done with Ella a couple pages back).
More ...chaste girls should require greater time and effort, but that doesn't mean they get no erotic content, and it certainly doesn't mean to cut them out of the game entirely!
Take BaD for example. Jill is the slow main girl (she's also really reluctant to jump into bed, ba-dum tiss). But she still has tons of content. You spy on her when she's naked, 'accidently' grope her in the shower, she masturbates with your hand while you are sleeping in the same bed after she tends to you after a fight, etc, etc. the point is, she's in the fucking game!
Contrast with many (most) devs who do exactly what he's doing, simply have the character who are 'slow burn' do NOTHING or not even appear for chapters so as to space out their content and create the IDEA that they are less slutty. But that's not realistic, even in a porno. A slow burn is not absense. A slow burn is a fucking war. It's attack and defend. Advance and retreat. Claw for every inch of bloody ground you can get your hands on.
How much more would you value the sex scenes you get with Kate if you have to absolutely kill yourself to get them? A lot.
An example.
Let's pretend for a moment she's religious and that's the reason for her reluctance.* Maybe you guys get drunk together, and fool around a bit BJ, eat her out, finger her, whatever. She's super into it. But the next morning she feels guilty. She made a promise to God. So now she says you can't do that, but also she wants to please you. Maybe you make up anno touching rule, so she shows you her tits and let's you jerk off onto her. Attack and defend.
You want more. So you point out that a vibrator isn't touching. You use that on her. But you get too into it when she cums and kiss her while you use it. She gives the cold shoulder for a week, cause she doesn't trust herself around you. Attack and defend.

Now Katie's path has real value. It's different from the slutty girls, but it's still interesting and HOT. For those of us who enjoy the chase, it might be even hotter than the easy girls.
This was a mediocre episode. WW doesn't need us to hold his hand. He doesn't need us to jack him off with mindless praise. He needs to find ways to elevate his game and produce content with all his love interests, not just the easy/'easy' ones.

Damn i agree with you but your example of slowburn sounds like the worst slowburn romance (?) i ever saw or read. Boring and annoying from the very beginning and at the same borderline pushy and unlikeable lol, thats slowburn done wrong imo
Not to mention that a girl like that always would expect exclusivity lookin at it realisticly which is a problem in this avn (as there is no content left)

Katie is a hopeless romantic yes, but at the same time she really treasures her friends and want them to be happy and have a nice romance too, especially Taylor and Violet. So i'd guess the angle here is, sharing the guy she loves with her friends is fine as that will make them happy too, at least for Taylor and Violet.
But i don't think it will be a harem with all girls in, maybe if you select the right choices and perks, but without it i you will get problems with the girl grouping which aren't close to each other.
