Nah, I haven't seen anything to suggest that it won't be completed. It just will take quite awhile yet. This is one of those games you know is never getting finished
Its one of my all time favorites. Which makes it worse that I really don't expect this to have much life left unfortunately. This is one of those games you know is never getting finished, which is a shame since it's great and has lots of potential. I'll just continue the (long) wait.
You do realize the Dev draws the entire game. By hand. Right? Yes, real life takes priority. But it also takes a while to draw everything by hand, enter it into the computer, and then render what needs rendered. Plus, adding on top of that, writing everything out. This update seems to be taking awhile. While I understand the balancing of real life and development, where obviously real life takes priority, and factoring the nature of this product of being a product of passion and so wanting to get it perfect and the charming hand drawn style which would take longer. I think it be good for a more regular show of update/progress, maybe even as increasing increment of percentile. This game is amazing, it's just the lengthy radio silence grows fears of abandonment with it. Just a thought or concern.
unfortunately you can't run projects like this just on passion, cuz it runs out rather quickly. But also you can't get a sustainable amount of supporters with the lack of the updates, so let's hope that at least it will be a pleasurable hobbyNah, I haven't seen anything to suggest that it won't be completed. Yeah, but it's absolutely understandable that the time in the updates would be considerable. As Talmadge points out, this is all done by hand. I know a lot of folks unfortunately now will assume AI or something because folks can make the appearance (somewhat) of hand-drawn renders with technology, but you can tell the difference, IMO it's definitely worth it, and short turnaround cycles should not be expected.unfortunately you can't run projects like this just on passion, cuz it runs out rather quickly. AI art is garbage mostly, I'm totally agree with his approach I'm just worried for the project cuz there are so many GOOD works are being dropped cuz the devs just burnt out, I'm creating a VN myself and I know it's not an easy task especially when you must share your time with many other needs.Yeah, but it's absolutely understandable that the time in the updates would be considerable. I thought that too, but tbh these days I can't differentiate between real and fake if I don't stare at it for a good minute or twoAI art is garbage mostly, I'm totally agree with his approach I'm just worried for the project cuz there are so many GOOD works are being dropped cuz the devs just burnt out, I'm creating a VN myself and I know it's not an easy task especially when you must share your time with many other needs.
A good way to tell if it is AI or not is the hands. AI always messes up the hands. It puts an extra finger in there usually. Or makes one blurry and longer than it should be.I thought that too, but tbh these days I can't differentiate between real and fake if I don't stare at it for a good minute or two
that's the ai of the past I'm talking about, the current ai models don't even do that mistake anymoreA good way to tell if it is AI or not is the hands. AI always messes up the hands. It puts an extra finger in there usually. Or makes one blurry and longer than it should be.
Well, I've seen some AI picks of celebrities and the hands are still messed up. So that's why I say this.that's the ai of the past I'm talking about, the current ai models don't even do that mistake anymore
Have you seen recent AI? Even if you see some impurities, like the finger problem, it is not for long. A couple of years ago, it was an abomination, but now it can fool the general population. The rate at which it's getting better hasn't slowed down, and it's still receiving heavy investment from every major company. The idea that it’s not going anywhere is just foolish by now. There's plenty of that and it's not going away anywhere, given the AI has no concept whatsoever of what it produces. So you're always going to get images where the bits put together just don't quite align with the reality that the AI isn't aware of. Just like it'll happily string together sentences completely detached from not even facts, but sense.
I use recent AI. Wrong proportions, wrong anatomy, "just wrong" is still a common occurrence. As are things hilariously falling apart with more than one subject or additional props.Have you seen recent AI?
The "heavy investment" is getting very tenuous with AI development companies asking to burn literal billions per year without showing any signs of getting profitable, anytime soon. They're also running out of training material to improve the models further, so the rate at which it's getting better is also in jeopardy. It's not a coincidence some of the top management of these companies is starting to jump ships. The bubble always gets the biggest right before it bursts. The rate at which it's getting better hasn't slowed down, and it's still receiving heavy investment from every major company. you cant compare the failures of the past to the technological advancements of today, this isn't a technology without a future, right now ai has already replaced many jobs, it goes without saying that it too will one day replace artistsI use recent AI. It's not going to just disappear, obv., but whether it'll become something more than another aborted attempt at making "next big thing" is an open question at this stage. History is littered with those.
I honestly don't think so. For one, every AI I've seen has, as the other guy said, the wrong proportions. Look at the recent one of Ronda Rousey. The one where shes supposedly by a pool. Not only is her hand messed up like AI tends to do, but it gave her about two sizes to her chest that she doesn't have. And the skin is too smooth. It is, to me, pretty easy to tell a fake AI from a real life photo. And, with all the push-back happening against AI already, I don't see it being a mainstay. At least in art and stuff like that. As far as AI doing tech support, that has been around for a while. You message Walmart.com or Amazon.com with a problem, you get an AI assistant until it can't help, then it sends you to a real person.you cant compare the failures of the past to the technological advancements of today, this isn't a technology without a future, right now ai has already replaced many jobs, it goes without saying that it too will one day replace artists
Really? What jobs do you think have been replaced by AI? Mind you, an actual AI -- not assembly robots in a factory, not "algorithms" picking the slop for your social media page. But honest-to-god artificial intelligence.right now ai has already replaced many jobs
