Probably just doesn't want to mark any of his mods as abandoned, that way another modder won't pick it up.

He's probably not interested in moding it anymore, they should mark it abandoned and hope someone else picks it up.
just use renpy universal mod while it won't unlock you everything it will help with the choices at least
