Holy shit- Just saw the patreon update and...think its gonna be a long time before I ever sub to an ongoing game before its done, I flushed out 150-220 probably fucking more dollars through a yearly basis for a game that seems more interestered in shooting itself in the fucking foot. I mean- its fucking insane, practically the "epilogue" is gonna(hope to god they switch it up) I glorified visual novel and all the CGI it seems is gonna be nothing but AISLOP. And I mean hell- do whatever you want its your fucking game, but ?!?! the fanbase was attracted due to the human art work and WELL! looking background- No fucking need for a damn patreon or PAYED for walkthrough if the men are AI, the background is AI, hell I wouldnt be fucking surprised if the story was AI at this point. Ugh. More AI garbage. I sincerely hope this is a prototype 'this is how it's going to look' thing and not the actual game. Oh how the mighty have fallen.

Yeah, it reminds me of HTML games from the browser, where sex scenes and so on are excerpts from porn videos. And the avatars are the faces of porn actors, it seems that the prequel falls to this level of “quality.”

wait is there going to be a future update for Ergi? like a proper epilogue? I thought the patreon post title said it's the last update... which is suck cause the LIs still have some bug... and the Seidr path still incompleteable

I don't think there will be an epilogue. The files for Chapter 9 contain “wedding” images with each of the captains. And, as I understand it, this is the epilogue we've been waiting for: no orgies, no group sex, no poignant and emotional scenes of peaceful life, etc. It's like a Mormon wedding.

Yeah the ending feels totally rushed in an effort to start on their new AI slop game. Bitter end to an otherwise good game that had such great promise.

I don't mind AI as much as long as it's done well and consistently. In the case of Ergi it feels like they switched mid-late project to that and decreased the overall quality. That's my main issue (although, full disclosure, I haven't played the recent chapters and I'm judging only by the images that have been posted, which I'm not that impressed of). And yes, that feels very disappointing.

I don't mind if the new game has a smaller scope (more VN) and it's made by AI figures, as it still takes skill and work to make something of high quality and consistent with AI tools -easy to do one good image, doing a full story is a totally different matter altogether.
It could be a nice product but, to be honest, after seeing how they fumbled the landing for Ergi, I'm wary of continuing to support them. I suppose I'll need to wait and see, at the beginning.

It was quite clear from the beginning that there will be no orgies. There are some threesomes. And yes, the wedding CG's make part of the Epilogue which has been officially published 21st September. Still bugs of course

Now, if they can deliver that, I don't know.

Exactly my impression. It's a shame. The dev is evidently a better writer than artist.

So far I made only two routes till the Epilogue and it seems all endings are included. But they may be bugged or not so rewarding... Leaving apart the bad quality of some CG's...

What a shitty ending for the game, both in the fiction and real life.

I was a backer from the prologue through to the last chapter and despite it being a buggy, click-heavy mess, I didn't regret it until the final chapter.

Chapter 9, though... I'd love to get an insider's look at what happened there. Did they decide to fire their artist? Did the artist quit? Was the revenue so bad they couldn't afford to hire somebody to finish it out with the old render models? Or did they not sign a contract giving them ownership of those models?

It's kind of the most spectacular crash and burn I've ever seen in a queer-focused game. They usually just fade out and die without fanfare or end abruptly without great resolution.

I am definitely not onboard for the next game, though. I can't trust this creator to give a decent product for the money, now.

It's the same for me, but it's not just about the image being well-done, but also the game being at least doesn't have game breaking bug. Like one path somehow cannot be completed and 2 LIs cannot progressed is just too much for the bugs not to be fixed in the "final product"

This game used to be the best. It's the only game here I actually subscribed and paid every chapter. The game just expanded too much and too fast in the last chapters, a few additional chapters would've saved it, add some that focus on character development and relationships. That way I might even get used to the immersion-breaking art change. Just sad. So much potential.

I wasn't expecting it to be saccharine. I just expected something more visually and emotionally, as we've been through a long and very difficult journey with MC and the captains. Throughout it all, life, love, etc. have been put at risk and tested time and time again. So I was hoping we'd get a bunch of images with each of the captains/partners in terms of their future peaceful or very life, their relationships with the MC. I mentioned the orgy just because the author started playing with threesomes back in chapter 7, if I'm not mistaken, so it wouldn't be surprising to see... farewell sex between MC/Anders and Peter... But all we got was terrible “wedding” photos, where the characters' resemblance to normal art is 50/50 at best.

When I started Chapter 7, I was happy because I was able to complete my main tree and I thought that everything was fine.

I thought the next chapters would be a little more romance-focused.

But no, the same pattern of only three captains being highlighted while the player has to deal with unintuitive choices.

I had high expectations for Jorgen in the Discipline path.
