I don't think so far anyone has called it bad. Bit too early for anyone to claim the games good or bad. But I do worry that them deciding to do this will end up affecting the final product.

Obviously I'd rather the game be good, even if I don't end up playing it, but them already deciding to start cutting out stuff( especially something as significant as a protagonist) doesn't inspire me positive feelings.

Hopefully the end product is just as good if not better than Ayura and Dysnomia

I guess im just slightly dissapointed. Ayura crisis was great, and eris remains one of my favorite AOT, but focusing a lot of the game into a specific fetish like futa just kinda limits the amount of people that can enjoy it. in eris, there were a few kinks and interests you could avoid and still enjoy most of the game I:e, hypnosis, femboy, hell even penetration. im sure it wont be every single enemy, right? and we'll have a vast variety of enemies with unique kinks instead of just futa, right? *insert surely emote here*

I also think that part of the appeal of the first two games was playing as a female that is trying to avoid being sexed.
Changing that is like changing the theme of the game.

While I generally think "if something's not broken, no need to change it", maybe the new game will be good regardless of the new direction.

I understand that. All I can say is that we'll get more of this from them in future games.

Who's telling you this new game won't be the same? The protag being futa doesn't change the fact that you probably need to avoid the sex

It's sad for me. I like the designs but I am not into Futa, still I hope others enjoy it. It's nice to see real human work and not the uninspired ai slop that you see on the new games list everyday. Are Ayura and Eris the only other games (besides the one being made and talked about) by this dev or are there others of note?

Glad to know I am not the only one bummed out about the way the third game moves forward.

It's not even because of the futa only or one protag only for me in a way. While yes, I have to admit I am not big on futas (mainly playing as one) and also absolutely prefering the other protags design, I gotta say it's something else for me.

Two flatchest, "fat-ass" protagonists. Now it's a tiddy monster futa only. Can't even deviate to the second protag who was a flatchest with a big butt - because she's now been taken behind the shed and put down.

Imagine going to a pizza place for two years, then they suddenly give you an even better pizza. Same toppings, same chef, but the dough and the crust are extra crispy and tasty. Same ingredients, it's just the chef who's improved and fine crafted their work.
Then, another year or two later you come to the same pizza place as always and suddenly they're selling burgers only. I don't hate burgers, nor do I really prefer them over Pizza, but I've come to the pizza place for... pizza.

I'll try this burger. It might be tasty, it might be mediocre compared to other burgers I've tried. But I know that even if I will like the burger, I likely won't come back to the place often, if at all until the menu's back to the usual.

And I get that the first game also had futa elements. But it's like on the menu, they had burgers. But it wasn't front and center. In fact, unless you stumbled across it on accident (by losing in stage 2 or through the gallery) or looked for it, you wouldn't even know it had it.

I like Q2 and I understand. I don't blame them, I don't even hate them for this shift. I get they have their own irl issues to deal with and somewhere in the development cycle they went and scrapped the two protag game.

I guess it just boils down to being a petty and selfish complaint.

But I want Pizza. I don't want Burgers.

So you want every game to be an exact copy of the last? What's the fun in that from a developing and consuming prespective? At that point, just keep adding animations to one of the earlier games and call it a day

The dev will eventually make the pizza again. Just let me eat my pizza-burger this one time.

The dev will most likely eventually make another Eris/Ayura.

Well, usually i'd absolutely be in the same stance as you, but the problem in general is: We don't have many pear shaped protags, lmao. But yeah, being repetitive is horrible for imagination and improvement.

First of all, preference. It's something everyone has and it just so happens the first game hit it well and the second even better for me. And yeah, I have 4200 hours in left 4 dead 2, so I guess I do like the same thing over and over again.

Secondly, Ayura and Eris aren't the same game whatsoever, because if you consider them to be, then the third is the exact same thing again as well but now futa corruption is the focus instead of female corruption. Except Ayura had it as well, just didn't focus on it. But since it's about main character design, sure. Ayura and Eris are the same. And I like it.

Lastly, is it unreasonable to expect "the same thing" from the same solo developer? You don't go to a clothing store and expect to see soup sold there, do you?

Feel free to enjoy it and I am happy for you if you do. Just wishing the double protag premise wasn't dropped, even if it took another year or two of development time.

Thank you, and believe it or not, I agree with you.

To the point where I did comment in the dev's ci en thread telling them that I wouldn't mind waiting more time for 2 protagonists.

I did that for those of you who wanted the 2nd protagonist.

However, just me commenting alone won't do much for getting both protagonists, I think.

Unreasonable? No. But developers (especially in the adult industry) will either change direction or simply burn out of whatever they're doing, and idk about you but I rather prefer the developers that challenge themselves and take on different engines and developing tools. This particularly isn't the case as this developer seemingly only changed the protag gender, but maybe they're working on some mechanics that take long enough to drop the other protagonist.

From what I read, MC is a futa in the new game? Can be fun to be the one doing the fucking, although it loses the appealing of becoming a slut.

Oh I am not against developer creativity whatsoever, really. In fact, I welcome it. Plenty of devs I follow are creative with their next games or future game updates.

I guess a meme is the best way to explain my situation and view on first being promised two protagonists (one of which I personally prefer), but then getting the news:
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

It's just a customers expectations not being fulfilled. At least for those that asked for one thing but recieving only part of it. And yes, I am a "customer" despite being on F95Zone, I love Q2's work so much that I had bought the games, even if I play this site's versions, purely to support and show love.

I don't hate Q2, nor do I shame anyone for liking futa and getting a game centered around it. I am merely bummed out over the fact that I waited a long time only to not get what I waited for. But yeah, I am just repeating myself now lmao.

Yeah, at the end of the day, Q2 will do whatever Q2 wants to do and it's okay. I mean, I am complaining but one should just imagine me skipping rocks while venting, less so demanding or hating.
