It's just a customers expectations not being fulfilled. At least for those that asked for one thing but recieving only part of it. And yes, I am a "customer" despite being on F95Zone, I love Q2's work so much that I had bought the games, even if I play this site's versions, purely to support and show love.


I don't hate Q2, nor do I shame anyone for liking futa and getting a game centered around it. I am merely bummed out over the fact that I waited a long time only to not get what I waited for. But yeah, I am just repeating myself now lmao.





Yeah, at the end of the day, Q2 will do whatever Q2 wants to do and it's okay. I mean, I am complaining but one should just imagine me skipping rocks while venting, less so demanding or hating.

Were you someone that asked for two protags? I understand expectations but I also don't think anyone asked for two OR for the protag to always be pear shaped.

Like, I feel you, I've understood you're not here hating on anyone or anything but just expressing discontent with the decision but ultimately the developer does what they want to / can do and nothing else, if they've trashed the double protag idea there must've been a reason for it. I'm sure the game will be amazing either way (considering the VAST amount of shitty games coming out this will be one of the best)

Such a non-argument because noone asked Q2 to even start developing, but expectations exist after getting the "same" product twice, and it's also getting especially frustrating because you seemingly are out for confrontation and arguments over someone simply stating they aren't happy but also aren't gonna do a huge stink about it. I wasn't even intending to reply to anyone to begin with, just happy seeing I wasn't alone in feeling discontent with the decision.

And I never argued against it. Literally my first message was: 'I'll try this burger. It might be tasty, it might be mediocre compared to other burgers I've tried. But I know that even if I will like the burger, I likely won't come back to the place often, if at all until the menu's back to the usual. It's petty and selfish, I agree. But I want Pizza. I don't want Burgers.'

I'll play it. I likely won't buy it if it doesn't strike my fancy. Simple consumer logic. Q2 can do whatever to the ends of time - and I can express my dissapointment until the end of time.
I never argued with or against anyone. But I am being led into this direction now by you and I don't like it.

Oh don't be, I actually was being confrontational at first simply because I like futa that much and I'm happy about the choice for once, and I felt that being criticized. But now I've said I understand your point of view and it makes sense.

Maybe the next game will have two protags, who knows

I don't remember if the first comments talking about how the other protag got canned mentioned it, but based on what I read from the Ci-en and Twitter post, the reason they dropped the flatstack( as someone referred to it lol) is that they had already made a LOT of futa themed scenes, animations, work, etc for this game, and didn't feel like making the alternative animations that would be needed for the smaller protag.

Take that as you will; AND do read the posts yourselves, both because its never a bad thing to be informed, and who knows if I misunderstood his reasoning.

I can't be damned to translate Q2's posts, but this is about what I had expected, yeah. I imagine what they really wanted was the new direction (futa) to explore, and the pear protag was sort of a tag-on since people evidently expect to have one after the prior two games.

...But if you make a game to explore a futa protag, with a bunch of beautiful babes tempting her and such, there's less you can do with that pear protag now. Most of those enemies won't have an appendage to fuck her with, because they were made to *be* fucked. And--not to downplay the raunchiness of Yuri or whatever-- FemalexFemale is not usually a tag that you look at expecting the kind of corruption that last two games had. The reason most of the human enemies were bullies or bastards was because they fit the archetype of somebody who would do something disgusting or humiliating; there are some fem archetypes that could maybe wear these gloves, like the gal sprite posted recently, but it would both require a lot of creativity to make it not feel stale for the pear protag and a lot of work creating double the animations.

I personally like the new direction. This new chick looks hot; I like her dress and hair, and I look forward to the game having a variety of bitches instead of the one admittedly-hot pear against a variety of monsters and dudes. I don't expect it to be worse, or better; just fresh.

Agreed, it's not like we won't get another Female protagonist again in a future game, too.

When will the new game be available here after the dev releases it? Very quickly, a few days at most, especially if it has english translation at launch (previous games did).

When will the dev release the new game? Absolutely no way to know. With ErisDysnomia, the dev had a hiatus that lasted half a year with zero updates (not to mention a good chunk of time spent on actual development), and with this game, he already had a few times when he disappeared+he mentioned that he has problems, and he decided to literally kill half of the new game's content (the non-futa protagonist), so who knows when the game releases. It sounds like the dev is close to releasing the demo, but, unironically, it could be at least half a year before the game (or even the demo) gets released.

This game is the definition of "check later, maybe something changed", and I'm saying that as someone who absolutely adores this dev's previous games.

To clarify for futa lovers: I'm absolutely okay with the futa protag being the only one (I like futa, actually), doesn't mean I can't be sad that a huge chunk of planned content got cut, even if said planned content was not in active development.

The dev said that they're seeing a specialist to handle their problems (to say it that way). Hopefully it means that if they can learn to live with their issues. They can be more productive and have less and shorter hiatus periods. If this happens, the next game could take less time to develop.

Back then, my guess is between late 2025 to early 2026, but. After seeing the dev reports. So, I'm not sure. But it does give lots of time for dev if before the end of 2026
