You have to do veteran level mission to earn "exp". I think its the yellow orange-ish icons on the map.
Or, more specifically, mission level has to be at or above the adventurer's experience level for them to progress their goals.
Otherwise you will see this when opening adventurer's overview mid-dungeon: 2025-08-05_183516.png

Are there any guides i can reference for how to actually learn to play this game effectively? I don't play rougelites, but the style drew me in, and the music + complexity of the mechanics have fully won me over. I love this game, but BOY i'm BAD at it. I keep having some of my favorite girls get kidnapped because certain battles just throw me for a loop with all the negative (and looping) status affects. I'm really not able to get my head around the leveling system and it seems 99% of my accessories i've acquired are either cursed or just don't help most of my classes.

From what i've seemed to gather, getting horny in any capacity in this game is technically bad right? Having girls randomly stop fighting to masturbate or act stupid in their horniness has gotten me in more than a few sticky (hehe) situations. Kinda hard to avoid that though, given 99% of the attacks from almost any given enemy or group add a TON of horny effects.

No guide that I know of, but you can always ask questions here. People here will gladly help you.

Remember that you can retreat at almost any time - even in combat if it's your turn. Don't be afraid to do that. You keep everything you already collected, so there's really no drawback at all.

There are some classes that can cleanse negative tokens, e.g. the maid.

What are you having difficulty with? I think the only thing I struggled with at the beginning is that I didn't notice that you need to tackle increasingly more dangerous dungeons as your characters gain levels - an adept adventurer won't get any progress in rookie dungeons.
Although do consider turning on the simplified leveling systems in the new game+ mode once you got a few destiny points.

Do note that leveling isn't the be-all-end-all of character strength. Increasing their attributes via training is just as important.
and it seems 99% of my accessories i've acquired are either cursed or just don't help most of my classes.
Yeah, that's a common thing in this game. At least once you collect four items of one kind in the arsenal, they're made infinite and will no longer drop in the dungeon, so at some point you'll run out of cursed items.

Yup. Although depending on your stats you can have less debilitating max-lust states (e.g. Clear mind or something like that just clears the lust meter without any negative effects). You can also choose to have them spend a turn masturbating, which will help clear the state faster.
One way to deal with that is to pack a stack of the lust-reducing items you can choose during provisioning. Also remember to use them up before you exit the dungeon, as lust carries over between dungeons.
There are also some moves that lower the lust of a character, often by taking on the lust themselves.

thanks, this was pretty helpful, i noticed a few of my girls clears their minds frequently
mostly the leveling in general i'm having trouble understanding, does it add skill points after a certain amount of kills?

i have very few characters above novice, the few adepts are stuck at adept even after a number of dungeon runs so i must be doing something wrong. That said, none of my girls get kidnapped anymore, i learned to just flee once i realize i may be boned in a certain fight.
so for sure, in every one of my teams, there's at least a cleric and a maid, and usually a slave since their lust cries are REALLY powerful for stat boosts.
One thing i'm having an issue with most classes, shown in this screenshot, is the attack going grayed/redded out, i don't see a clear reason why since there's no visible stamina or magic meter.

No. Open a character's details view, there you'll see their development goals. Fulfilling one of those grants you a skill point.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
As one of your current tutorial quests explains, you can also reroll those goals for some mana if you cannot finish them.
When you prepare for a dungeon, the game will also show you which characters have goals fitting for a dungeon, or who cannot gain any more experience from them:

If that is too complicated, you can start a new game+ and choose a modifier that simplifies leveling up for a few destiny points.

The dots above the skill view shows you from which position skills can be used and which positions they can affect. The skills "Enhanced Featherduster" and "Bonk" can only be activated from the two frontal positions, while "Perfect Maid" can be activated from the first three positions. Since your maid is all the way at the back, she cannot use those skills.
Also, if the second set of circles is blue instead of red, it can only target your party.

Once again, thanks a million. I think this just about answered every major question i had right about now.
I got to reroll my main cleric's development goals which was kind of impossible at this point, and got three really easy ones.

By now i'm filling up my recruit cap pretty quickly, 38, is it possible to train girls as slaves to sell later? Or are there better ways i can manage this?

Not really. AFAIK the only way to "sell" one of your adventurers is when you randomly get a mission to train them in a specific class (usually cursed ones).

Also last question (i think?)
What are these question marks i randomly see popping up on characters in dungeons?

View attachment 5122889
You mean the exclamation mark? I think that pops up if you have an unassigned move slot (e.g. after unlocking a skill, but not yet selecting it). Maybe also if you have too many moves currently selected, e.g. after equipping an item that reduces the number of moves a character can use.

Is there anyway to restart New Game+?
I didn't realize that "Carry over all Equipment" and "Carry over all Girls" did not include the equipment ON the girls. So all my best characters carried over, but only the gear that I didn't have equipped to anyone. Which IMO, feels like less than 'all equipment.'

Also, is there a way to cure the Latexified condition? Or do I just have to go back to the boss and use the chair over and over again?

That's an oops. You just have to find the equipment again I think.

The chair is the only way.

That's stupid. 'All Equipment' should include things that are currently equipped.
Ah well. At least I found away to unequip the Loser Suit. Kind of excessive though.
Pal, by that time you already should have every piece of equipment in infinite numbers, so that shouldnt be a problem? ;)
