Somewhat ironic that the hardest to obtain gear in the game is the one of... "very common" rarity. Because it is not a standard part of guaranteed dungeon rewards system and such can only be obtained either as (quite rare) random drop or by fully exhausting *all* other rarity pools, which forces it to appear as the only remaining items-to-get. It would be more sensible to move entire guaranteed dungeon rewards grid one rarity tier down, leaving the legendaries in such position instead. Or just making novice dungeons to use both "common" and "very common" pools by default instead of only "common" one. Or just elevating all findable "very common" stuff to "common" rarity, leaving "very common" category just for the very basic items that girls come pre-equipped with.

At the Nth cursed gear spouted at one of my top girls, breaking the set and requiring her to reach Veteran of some service class I'm not interested in, I'm on the verge of just dropping this game. Whoever had the idea of this dumb mechanic Istg. Not gonna open chests in dungeons anymore, fuck it.

First, other than trees at swamp, mimics chests give themselves away by shaking periodically. Just gaze at chest for 5-6 seconds or so before attempting to interact.
Second, it always small chests / safes that can be mimics. Iron chests / large safes are always normal.
Third, mimics is a different type of curio and tend to get a different reaction from girls. Girl shied away from chests or constantly raised false alarms, but is eager to open it now? Most likely a real mimic this time.
Fourth, collect cursed items and make them infinite. Items that were made infinite stop spawning on field in non-forced way.
Fifth, get a girl with 17+ wisdom stat and listen to her opinion. She will identify mimics at first glance.
Sixth, read bottom part of that post.

There is one more tell, if a chest is surrounded by enemies, it's real.

Great advice, thanks.
And then enemies started forcefully equipping blindfolds, making it all useless.

Thats why game subtly tells you to keep a eye on clothes durability. And ratkin's "bite" attack is one of most potent cloth shredders in game. Make sure that girl which tanks hits for the rest of the party is constantly under effect of defense tokens, they decrease both normal and cloth damage (yep, these are independent from each other). Clothes break in order: outfit, trinket 1, trinket 2, trinket 3, underwear. Equips can only replace fully broken items, you safe as long as they have at least 1 durability. Equips tend to fill trinket slots first and normally begin once trinket 1 is broken, but given that most trinkets have very bad durability it tend to not take long once outfit is gone. Items that already belong to local cursed set cannot be broken (and therefore replaced by their fresh, cursed counterparts) in that particular dungeon (which they openly tell in place of their durability gauge) but don't offer any protection to non-set clothes parts.

TLDR, clothes durability is there for a reason, you cannot properly defend yourself in your birthday suit. (unless you fully mastered that cursed class, center skill near the bottom of tree prevents forced equips of that particular set, while one of side skills after it lets girl retain this property even if she changes out of this cursed class)
And last, but not least, check the enemy moves in bestiary or by right-clicking them on battlefield. Not every enemy type has the "equip" move in their roster.

Does anyone know how to earn upgrade points for the characters that take us to the dungeons? I've been going through dungeon after dungeon and getting into difficult battles, but they don't earn skill points.

Thanks you
In short, I need to look at their profiles and see what their requirements are to level them up.

right?

Yes. You can also see adventurer's goals mid-battle (icons to the left from her name during her turn) which is useful for tracking progress of goals that are done in battle.

I played this game a year ago and specifically kept my eye on it because of the banger of a OST.

A year later I checked up and by goodness this is great. The game is rather open ended too in terms of content since the modding scene is going great, it made me feel like when I first modded fallout 4 for ero content.

It is a great game and while it is 'completed' id love to see the community carry the torch forward if given enough time and resources.

If you can't use either site there's no way to support, and any way to circumvent it would be more hassle than it's worth.
There's nothing wrong with piracy if you can't legally obtain a copy.

You can buy the game on itch.io:

Itch only accepts PayPal nowadays, if that worked he could also use Patreon. I assume he's Russian, which means there really is no way to get the game due to sanctions. If he lives somewhere else, buying it on JAST may work though:

Great game so far ! How can I see the progress towards a veteran profession, e.g. veteran Maid ?
When you open the main character details for one of your girls (with a right click on their little portrait), you'll be able to see their progress in their current class tier towards the lower right corner, just below the skill tree. There's a little progress bar that says X/Y.
Where X is her current level in a class and Y is the threshold for the next class tier. The color of the progress bar also mirrors the advancement of the character, with darker green for Novice, brighter green for Adept, orange for Veteran and red for Elite.
For example, a 6/9 (bright green) means that the character is level 6 (an Adept) and requires three more levels to become a Veteran, which happens when you reach level 9 in a class.

Edit : I think that "Maid" is a Class instead of a Profession ? I thought that just by assigning someone to the Maid job they'll level up as Maid but that's not the case ? How do I switch to Maid class ?

"Maid" is a "Cursed Class". It's a class just like Warrior, Rogue and the rest but it differs from then in a way that it's an involuntary class (initially).
When you go out adventuring with your girls and pick a mission which states that the equipment class for that dungeon is "Maid" (you can find that under the Scouting tab after selecting a mission but before departure), your girls can get involuntarily equipped with maid clothing by some enemies if they lose their original clothing due to damage or if a mimic chest equips a girl randomly.
How do I switch to Maid class ?
Once one of your girls have three pieces of equipment from the Maid set, their class will automatically change to Maid class and you usually have to level the class up if you want to get rid of it.
After these clothes get uncursed and you unequip them from your girls, you can give them yourself to any girl you want and -again- three pieces of the same cursed class' set will automatically turn their class into the respective cursed class.
I thought that just by assigning someone to the Maid job they'll level up as Maid but that's not the case ?
No. Simply assigning someone to the barracks as a maid will only boost the morale for the mission on the next day. It does not affect classes or levels unless you have a personal goal which gives a skill point after leaving a girl as a maid for a few days.

I don't understand why there's a pregnancy sign when there's none in the game. I've been playing for half a day and nothing.
