That looks pretty good! I see what you mean and I would benefit from using a few more highlight/shading colors but I'm also trying to work within self established constraints and stay economical in the amount of detail in each work. You have an eye for color though, that purplish shadow you use on the bottom right of the face works really well! (Can't believe you would just stunt on me in my own thread like this! )Improve your contrast would really make your artwork pop and interesting. It's Kool if you want to go with cel shading and line art style but add more than just two colors you really want that contrast from light to dark.
Damn, stunting on me again, the whole piece took me like 6 hours and you improve it in 5 minutes. If you can't tell I'm not *really* an artist. The reason proportions are good is because I trace . Technically, I did TRY and use three colors, I just did it very sparingly. I need to be more aggressive with it! Thanks again.I understand time is very important especially in game development. This took less then 5 minutes yo do. I notice your work is more solid colors not soft. You could still do that, I guess the point I m trying to say you had two colors before make it three which is shadow, midtones and highlights. Im kinda rushing on this reply, I wish I could tell you more but Im strap for time. Your proportions are great btw. Best of luck though.
i like this one better and it matches your artworkAnother one. In game, this is the previous girl's mother, she might look too young? Personally not a big problem for me because at least she is still attractive lol.
