I am using premium third party software to turn some of the characters text lines into voice files. Now, these are not as great as paid voice actors but they come at a fraction of the price and offer 100% reliability and stability.

I never quite understand this. I mean, think what you are saying as a Dev when you write something like this "I'm using something sub-standard and cheap because I want the audience that voices can get, but am not prepared to invest in it like all the games that earned that audience bonus"

How is that meant to come across as in any way advantageous to a player, or as anything but trying to exploit rather than earn, an audience? Are you passing that saving along by promising this game will always be free? Is this game promising to be always cheaper than rivals, with lower purchase price than other comparable titles, and a $1 full subscription rate?

You want voice acting, but don't want to pay voice actors. That's your choice. But it sure as hell isn't something to be proud of.

Yeah, I agree with you, personally. 99% of the time I find that voice acting only takes away from the immersion of imagining the voice that you think goes with the character, and limits them. Even seen characters I liked be ruined by voice choices in later added voice acting a few times, forcing me to disable sound altogether, but still having my own perception of that character spoiled by having heard how the writer apparently intended them to sound.

The only Daniels K game I finished was Lancaster Boarding House, when I was new and innocent to the disappointment that is a Daniels K story ending. Everything since has been of the same mold, taking place in a large building/house filled with nubile women and at least one bitch. Each seems to have a pinch of magic or the supernatural, a lack of real choices beyond who to fuck, and a rushed ending... Even LBH had a rushed ending though I overall liked the story enough that I always want to try his new games when they pop up.

At least he doesn't rest on his laurels, he keeps trying and doing even though it would be nice if he would take his time and give us a slow burn romance instead of a wham, bam, "everybody wang chung tonight" story. Perhaps this one will be worth the look? I hope so cuz I am probably going to download it anyway.

True dat, bro'. I'd really like to praise Daniel for his efforts and hard work, but most of us know that storytelling isn't his strong suit, or for some reason, he gets bored of his own stories and half-asses everything, including the endings. He should hire a good writer and give his fans a damn story that makes sense for once, coz nobody asks for an Oscars-level script, ffs.

Following the philosophy "Fly like a butterfly, sting like a bee, fuck like rabbits", there's another MC more interested in banging bitches than actually starting a solid relationship with any of them.

Some of us will probably be shocked by this, but apparently, this MC uses a condom for a change. Imagine the blasphemy... using a condom in fictional porn instead of going yolo on those sluts and nutting inside them till you can't nut anymore. WTF ??
