While Isabella may have the motives i doubt she has the means. The game made a point of showing that she was having to fix the mistakes her dumb girlfriend made right before the party starts.
Besides while she is petty, this whole blackmailing stuff is starting to sound like someone with a lot of anger against Ashe or duplos in general.
I think we need Means, Motive, Method, but also Intent and Inciting Incident (why
now?).
I want to look at Intent first, because I think this update brought some possibilities to light. What has the blackmailer been requesting Ashe to do?
Sexually charged things. Her Duplo status is the fulcrum, but Ashe being more sexually adventurous seems to be the goal. Sharing photos with her boss (if she rebels), put in a butt plug, try and sleep with Vanessa. It seems like all of those are related in pushing Ashe to become more slutty, or sexually permissive, and willing to take risks.
That, I believe, builds towards the Motive. What does the blackmailer want themselves? I disagree that
it's prejudice and anger against duplos in general. This seems more focused. I think the blackmailer
believes they are doing it for Ashe. Either to help Ashe become a more honest and awakened version of herself, or to prepare Ashe to accept the blackmailer into their life (which they, likely selfishly, believe is best for Ashe).
Method and Means seems clearer as well. It seems highly likely that
Delilah is being used as a pawn by the blackmailer to surveil or do things like dropping off a package. But roped into supporting the blackmailers overall plan. I do think it's likely that they also have some tech support too, cameras or drones, and also being so confident about doing this through text. This all points to the blackmailer having more resources than average, or being very capable at using what she has.
So why now? We know the texts started right after Ashe lost her virginity in Kate, Fiona, and Delilah's house. It's possible something else kicked this whole thing off, but I don't think we have the information to tell if it was an older plan. But who could know?
I have two theories. The one with the most tin-foil will come second. But first off, who else
lives in that house? Kate's partner and the other mother of Fiona and Delilah: Victoria. Victoria is, so far, mostly a mystery. She's away on business. We assume she's a futa, but perhaps is a duplo, because Kate is fem. Her wife cheats on her, with at least Ashe (if you choose to). Has Kate cheated before? Doesn't seem impossible? They may even have an open relationship of some kind. Why does any of this matter? Because of method and means. The blackmailer sees things they shouldn't be able to see that easily. Ashe and Vanessa on some random rooftop garden, also at Vanessa's home. How? Well, cameras and/or drones, would be my primary suggestion. Who might be used to looking through cameras? Maybe someone with a wife that has extra-marital fun? My theory is that Victoria had cameras in her and Kate's bedroom, saw Ashe sneak in, lose her virginity, but spotted her duplo status. I believe that comments were made at the time of Ashe preparing to sleep with Zoey that Zoey wouldn't have the proper angles to notice Ashe was a duplo. But a camera could have. And a camera did, with Victoria seeing it on the other side. Ashe is a family friend, one daughter's bestie, the other daughter's first crush/love. Imagine how many pieces fell into place upon realising Ashe is a duplo? So Victoria has a moment of inspiration to push Ashe out of her shell, and be more truthful to her own daughters, becoming a more elevated version of herself.
It also explains how
Delilah could be so quickly turned into a pawn against Ashe, but has such a hard time of it, wracked with guilt. Because her mom asked her to do this. Someone she trusts implicitly, and says that they are doing this to help Ashe. So while the methods make her worry and feel guilt, she still goes along with it, for her mom, and her first love.
Well, seeing how this has turned into a wall of text, thank you for coming to my TedTalk.
Tinfoil theory,
it's Ashe's dead mom, who isn't really dead, but hiding and watching.
