I really don't think this would be the case. Consider the ways in which anti-duplo sentiment has been stressed in the story, so far.
- We've been told more than once that duplos are generally looked down upon by the vast majority of society, and that most people tend to think of duplos as being cheating horndogs at best, and closeted rapists at worst.
- We've been told that at least one of the major religious institutions in this world actually teaches that duplos are descended from demons.
- We've been told that a high profile duplo who was outed publicly may have committed suicide as a result - whether that be due to losing her social media prominence, or fear of financial ruin, or because of shame at having been exposed as a liar, or whatever.
Given how often the point has been stressed to us, and all of the different ways that we've been shown the bias against duplos, I really don't think that Ashe is going to suddenly feel at ease about her status, just because two friends she has known for years turned out to be understanding and supportive. I mean, her family has been understanding and supportive all her life long, and that didn't make it any easier for her to tell Fiona.
