Episode 5 - Progress Report #20
Hey everyone
So... the report is a little late today, because I really wanted to finish all renders before I post it. Which I did!
Here's the progress:
- Writing: 100%
- Character models: 100%
- Environments: 100%
- Renders: 100%
- Day 14: 378/378
- Day 15: 817/817
- Day 16: 436/436
- Day 17: 434/434
- Music/Sound: 0%
Release dates
- Gold, Silver: October 22nd
- Bronze, itch.io: October 29th
- Public release: November 12th
All this amounts to 2065 new renders in total!
What's left to do? First is music and sound. I'll spend a couple days looking for fitting songs and SFX. As the game grows I already have a decent music library in the game, so with every release it should be a little easier to find music.
I also still need to post-process about 300 images, some of which are still in the render queue, waiting to be rendered. (The number of renders above are the amount of renders I have finished in Daz Studio and are ready to render. That is the biggest bulk of work, which is why I use that as the number for the progress. Post-processing in comparison is usually done in less than a minute per render.)
Next up is a small list of various fixes I need to do, both in renders and in text. This should be done relatively quickly. And after that it's just testing and more testing. In this episode there is a ton of story variations depending on your choices, both big and small, that need to be taken into account when testing. So this will probably take a little longer than usual.
Finally I'll also need to convert all PNG images to WEBP and build distributions. And then we're done!
I'm really excited for this release, and can't wait to see all your discussions, theories and feedback. Not much longer now!

Just imagine.... One of the most toxic threads here on F95 releases an update with 232 renders. We are spoilt here!
