I'm not talking about someone milking someone!
I'm talking about the fact that installing new hardware on a PC leads to the installation of windows, which entails a fresh installation of daz, etc. I'm not even talking about the fact that when downloading old models on a "new PC", errors may occur due to missing files! I'm saying that it takes time!
To be honest, i don't know what kind of problem the dev has, if his hard drive is screwed up and he's waiting for a new one, then my question is, where were the daz models stored? If on a damaged disk, is it possible to restore them?

I agree that all projects and devs have the same tendency: first they put a lot of effort into the project, and after a while they realize that there is already a ready-made fan base of donors who won’t go anywhere and you don’t have to work so hard!

That's why i said from the very beginning that i'd rather get 2-3 updates (many game days and events with different characters) during this time than 1 big one update-event.

Thankfully the game has a vocal and engaged fan base, otherwise this situation wouldve had a finanically very bad outcome for the dev. I am not accusing them of being lazy tho. It just a case of biting more than you can chew. And at the end of the day its their first time developing a game

IIRC, the upcoming update is very ambitious compared to a lot of the updates previously.
A lot of shit is going to go down at the party and it's apparently quite an undertaking to make sure it all works out well.

Normally the updates are a fair bit faster than 8/9 months.

Episode 6 - Progress Report #21
Hey everyone
I have some good news finally . I just got confirmation today that my new PC is fixed and on the way back to me . Assuming everything goes well, I'll be able to continue with renders sometime next week. Let's hope this was the last hurdle and things go back to smooth sailing from here on out .
I did spend some more time with testing and writing during the last couple days. I now did 5 full playthroughs of Ep. 6 in the last 2-3 weeks, and I have to say I'm happy how unique each of those was. I'm really curious what your favorite way to go through this party will be . There's also just so many smaller variations that are barely noticeable on their own, but I think they add a lot in terms of immersion. Your main route, relationships, drunkenness and other choices all form these scenes in some way.
The not-so-good news is that June is becoming an impossibility for a release unfortunately. With all the technical and health issues in the last couple weeks, there's no way I can finish the remaining work in 2.5 months. I'm not writing off July yet, since I still have hope that the new PC will speed up my workflow a bit. I'll keep you updated, but for now the release estimate is set to July/August.

I think you misunderstood me. The only "negative" thing i said about the dev in that comment was that they were too ambitious in their plan for a single update. And after that i added its their first time developing a game, so that happens, no biggie. I am nowhere near trying to create drama

It seems to me that people are exaggerating a lot, it has already been said that this update will take much longer for several reasons.

1.-It will be the update with more content until now.
2.-It is trying to put many characters in the background than before.
3.-There will be many more routes, since it will be in a closed environment, which implies many variables and outcomes.
4.-Problems with his team to work.

Besides I am sure that I communicate that after this update will return to the normal format that has been used so far, so the delay so far is something very exceptional.

I understand that in this environment we suffer many disappointments, but this is just panicking for the sake of panicking.
