Hmm, but they have english names.
probably uses English names and words so we the players can understand the game. But their world in reality doesn't use English. Be kind of like the Tardis from Doctor Who with how it makes everything appear English for the doctor's companions but in reality nothing is. At least that's how I see it after reading that post from the dev.

All that remains is to find the Doctor there.

Sure, it could mean that the dev has a preference. If so, there's nothing wrong with that. If it is a matter of dev preference, then the dev has as much right to a preference as you do. In that case, I wouldn't expect the ratios to change, nor would I want them to change.

That being said, I'm not aware of any reason for assuming that the dev has such a preference.

This is simply incorrect. It's not "sort of" incorrect or "mostly" incorrect. It's just incorrect, full stop. There are multiple civilizations existing on earth today which have almost total statistical dominance by a single ethnic group. And if we look back through history, we find that it's actually more common to have a single ethnicity dominant in civilizations than it is to have statistically significant ethnic diversity.
Because of the influence of the US on the Western world that this fictional world was invented, what I did and everyone else who played the game was an automatic common sense association. So, if I see elements in the US that I don't see present in a fictional world that ressembles it, I'll miss them. That's why I say it's not realistic.

But the world of the game is not the USA, and not the Western world.

But it's still realistic.

As I pointed out in my previous post, even if you make a 1:1 comparison with the US, you need to understand that the national average is just that, an average taken for the whole nation, and that it doesn't exactly correspond with every state, or every major metropolitan area. In one part of the US, you don't get 6 white people for every 10 people, you get 9.99 white people for every 10. In other parts of the US, you get 8 black people for every 10 people. In other parts of the us, you get 7 Asian people for every 10 people. You are more likely to find numbers which lean one way or the other than you are to find numbers which exactly line up with the average. And, in terms of numbers leaning one way, there are more areas which lean heavily white than areas which lean in any other direction.

All of this means that the ethnic ratios which we see in Eruption Imminent are realistic, even if we are comparing them to real numbers in the US. And they become even more realistic when you realize that, in this game, we are looking at Ashe's circle of acquaintance, not the total demographic breakdown of the city where she lives. Even if this city exactly lined up with the demographics of the US, it's still far from certain that Ashe's personal acquaintance will break down along the same lines. In fact, I would say that it's unlikely.

The story takes place in a fictional city, in a fictional country, in a fictional world. There is no English language in this world. You can interpret this whole thing as a translation of a fictional language.

And as an aside: Who says females and futas are different genders in this world? Gender is not the same as sex. From what we've seen, most of either sex are presenting as women, no matter what genitals they have. Gendered pronouns make sense if you can identify someone's gender with a glance in most of cases. Not so much if you have to grope their crotch to find out ;).
That concept is hard to grasp to me. If there is no gender, why using "she" and not "he"? Just for us the readers?

And what if someone is only interested by the opposite sex, or want to reproduce? They have to know if their love interest has the opposite sex. So it would be good to be able to identify them without having to grope their crotch to find out. But I guess just looking at their crotch is enough in most cases if they wear tight pants. Harder if they wear skirts.

Just thinking out loud, nothing else.

Why use "he" if they all look like women?
They clearly have no problem determining who is futa and who is female.

This is a fictional world. And even in our world, сaucasians live far beyond the West.
Oh yeah and where? Australia is considered West. Where else in Asia? And in Africa, only South Africa has lots of caucasians.

Or like someone said, in some specific case where they are in minority but are gathered in the same area.

Anyway this is a fictional world which looks like western world.

Discussions about language and pronouns are starting to get pretty off-topic and I'm not really interested to get deeper into all that. I don't think it's of much value to discuss this any further.

The same goes for the discussions about diversity. If you'd like to see more non-white characters, fair enough. We still haven't met the full cast yet, and some characters with small roles so far might get bigger roles later on. So we'll see, maybe in a couple episodes it'll look a little different.
Debating on what percentage of white characters is acceptable or realistic or whatever seems pretty unnecessary though.

Forget the quotas to satisfy people who will never be happy no matter how much diversity you include just make the game you want to make and ignore these people seriously I think most of us don't play porn games just to be reminded of real life and other political stuff its actually quite the opposite we want to escape from all that stuff.

The kinda of gals I would certainly love seeing and hope for naturally.

Le Morrigan. (Dragon Age Inquistion model clearly, or a look a like.)
A punky, blue/cyan haired trouble maker whose a deep down softy, and is rocking some pretty sweet tats.
A gal with long blonde hair, big green eyes, world class breasts, ass that won't quit, and legs that go all the way up.

Could care less about the moronicy of "pronouns" or other "wanna be special termages".

But all in all, not a bad update. Like the luvy time with Fiona, though honestly girls, STRIP FIRST! Mummy dearest is gonna be fun on either Dom or Sub route. Not so much on cuckoldery though. Also, when can we have Ashe drop kick Officer Small Dick in her balls? Sure we may get charged with assault but fuck it. Cop needs to know her place. The New Short Stacked World Order Begins!!!
