Wow I took a look and it's a 3D roaming sort of game. That's out of the VN category. But it looks really nice.

For me personally, it's like a movie. In a movie, there are no choices, the viewer just watches the story. Visual novels are more like movies than games because there is no gameplay and the focus is on the story. Choices in VNs are a good thing, but it's also okay without choice if the story is good.
Then call it a Kinetic Novel with a decent story rather then a visual novel, pretty simple concept.
Except you do have choices in this game? Just not to the degree of your satisfaction...
Having a hard time, and instinct unleashed. While the former does have a scene you have no control over, much like this game I gave it a pass because I hoped it was just the one scene

We are all spoiled by good novels where you can select either one from multiple routes
Fair enough. I also like HAHT but for a different reason: simply because the scenes are hot. Haven't played the latter though. Will try it out some day.

It's all visual novels, Karl. Even without the choice, it's still visual novel.

opposite for I don't care about the sex or lewds in that game but all the emotional scenes and story with the character. It's the same reason why I like Ashe , Vanessa and Rachael in this game and they are my favorites

Same here, most players/users focus on it in a 1st person perspective because they just want a game where they decide most the things and live too closely to what the characters do hehe but they forget that is mostly the creator/dev point of view of things and we are all different and enjoy different things.
I don't mind that view but I switch my focus on this adult novels as a 3rd person viewer and a 1st person player, sometimes is a book with images and other times is a game with choices. That is why I don't mind "playing" or more correct reading/visualize a kinetic novel, as long the story is engaging and doesn't have too many "red flags" on things I don't like to watch or read, even if those sometimes "force" me to engage in an uncomfortable scene, as long they aren't too many or NTR/sharing the potential LI's with other males, yep I'm a bit possessive that way
.Edit: Even though I never mind if the potential LI's engage in lesbian action without my consent or with consent, i'm also weird like that
yeah I know that is also NTR for some but never is for me, I make that distinction in my perverted mind . Even though in the case of Eruption Imminent, a futa game is kind of hard to make a distinction on gender but I can make that distinction in my mind, mostly on the personality/traits if I see them as a "male" or not, the cop for me definitely have too many "male" traits and would get annoyed if they touch other potential LIs hahaha

i also like the characters, but i feel more of a connection to them when i can immerse myself in the game. Others said it feels like a movie or a book, and i just can't get as invested in the characters in those as i can in a game.

yeah it's kind of why I play more AVN's than regular video games now days. I still play both. I find it's hard to get invested into a MC or character beyond their story in a regular video game. While an AVN I still can't immerse myself and I rarely care about a MC beyond their story but I get really invested into the other characters where I just want to have more interactions or story with them. Some characters I get excited whenever they show up on the screen because of that.

We are all "allowed" to enjoy this games/stories the way we want hehe as long we respect each other different likes/tastes when done the right way (the wrong way is hate speech and insults/attacks to others just because they think differently)
