There's literally scenes in this update that you can skip and straight up tell the character no, so why not have an option for that when it comes to sex with Fiona? I do think in the moment what happens between them makes sense, but not everyone thinks the same and Morrigan has shown they're willing to do this so why not do it with the Ashe Fiona scene? I can't help but feel like Morrigan wants Ashe and Fiona to be "Canon". lol

It's difficult to build and write a consistent route if the player has the option of skipping all the LI's sex scenes though, since every scene between them would have to account for any possible combination of previous scenes being skipped. If any sex scene is skippable, than all sex scenes become superfluous to the story, which beats the point of a porn game.

From what I've gathered, as I haven't played the update, the "choice" is whether or not you've decided to do anything sexual with Fiona before, which was like update 2 or something? Update 3? It's been like a year since, if not more, so I can't fully recall.

What's baffling people is basically how one choice made some updates ago is now removing choice in the future, because it's such a jarring thing compared to other games aswell.
It's like deciding to buy some chicken for dinner instead of the usual beef, contract salmonella and simply go "well, it's the consequence of my action, BETTER JUST DIE THEN" instead of y'know.. choosing not death? The lack of choice where there should be one is what's jarring, just because someone went "oh alright" to a LI previously doesn't mean that they're now essentially free-use for that character nor should they be.

The main character is not you, you just make some choices for the story. Sure the paths are more railroad than in other games, but it keeps branching (and development time) in check. If you don't like that, sucks to be you but you're entitled to your opinion. Generally I prefer more leeway with branching, but the writing is so good in this one that I don't mind.

The game already has a non-sexual branch. All you have to do is to add an option of "hey I'm not interested", fade to black and branch it into the non-sexual branch.

The game doesn't have to account for shit, adding a branching option of "nah I'm not interested in letting you treat me like a free use object because I consented once in the past" and just branching that scene into the non-sexual one isn't difficult, a TON of other games utilize this exact same thing, and it shouldn't be up for discussion as to how it's "a good thing" that the choice isn't there.
