You can't just compare the pace of several indie devs just based on the renders number. There are a lot of variables which can impact how fast they can released updates.
A few that come in my mind:
  • Health issues.
  • Family issues.
  • Skills level.
  • Power and number of the rig(s) used to renders.
  • Being a perfectionist and redoing some scenes a couple of time for minor defects.
  • Having a daily job or not. Don't forget than very few indie devs earn enough from there game to lead a decent life. Most of them must have another job.
  • Having a daily job at 5 minutes walk from home vs 3 hours of public transport per day.
  • Having a daily job that required a lot of overtime vs a part time job.
  • Single vs family with kids.
  • Living like an hermit vs having a busy social life.
  • Working tirelessly with no life vs save some free time for enjoying other things.
  • And so on...

Where did you get "the same amount of work"? The update will be much larger than the previous ones.

I don't know if people expect porn devs to wake up and only work on their projects until night. Working in software one of the first things they tell you is that every task takes 2x or 3x the time you think it'll take you. Sometimes mistakes make you have to discard some of what you have. Also creative work takes long for some people (R. R. Martin).

Also devs may want to take a week or two off every now and then.

When can we expect the new update because I'm dying to find out who the mysterious misses X is and I enjoyed playing this game

I cannot agree with this. But after all the discussions here I gave up and wait and see how the story goes. I hope next update will give us more. But Morrigan is also reading all the discussions here and in my opion he will let is flow through more updates.

Let us struggle not knowing wtf is going on.

I find it so terribly amusing that you all have such colourful theories of who this blackmailer supposedly would be, especially when it seems - to me, at least - rather obvious what her identity truly is. I will not yet reveal my own thoughts on the matter, as I have no desire to spoil the reveal for the rest of you, but suffice it to say, the clues are available and the trail is visible. I shall be deeply surprised - and not a little disappointed - if no others are able to reach the same conclusion as I.

(And I do apologise if I seem a tinge arrogant with that little shpiel; such is not my intention. I merely wish to further encourage speculation - however wild it may be - on the matter.)
