Damn the dev really went from putting out good updates every 4 months to now taking a whole ass year for some party update is the dev trying to compete with Summertime Saga see who can milk their games the most? :KEK:
Let's just say it was a series of unfortunate events. This is the first time this has happened to MorriganRae, so let's try not to judge her unfairly.

When can we expect an update because I'm eager to know who this mysterious Miss X character is ???
If nothing bad happens to prevent you from working in September.

Am I the only one that's kind of dreading this party? I just can't imagine it ending without Ashe's secret being revealed to everyone and then the subsequent fallout afterwards. I suppose if at least the blackmailer is caught then it might be worth it but I somehow doubt that will happen.
nope I'm considering skipping this next update entirely. Since it's just going to be a party update i'm not even looking forward to the update because of it. The last update made me start to not care for the game as much to because of the blackmail stuff nearly ruined my favorite part of the update. Also the Lack of having an option to ask Rachael for help annoyed me since she is always asking for help but Ashe never takes her up on it and tells after she has done her blackmail task.

The dev gave an estimated realease date very early on, hardly any dev does that. And it's obvious why, we have exactly the reason here. They should set it for themselves, but communicate it only when it's 95% sure. I'm not sure if the dev will do it again, but I don't recommend it.

Average update here is between 400-600 renders every 3 months. MorriganRae is working on a 4000 renders update. Every part of this update would have been an update by itself. This is as big as a Being a Dik episode, which take years to release nowadays.
Ok lets no exaggerate here, as much as I like this game it just doesn't hold a candle to the quality BaDIK has there goes way more work then just render count to Being a DIK some off the top of my head are a huge variety of music, complex branching, free roams, clucks on the phone, mini games, tons of characters with deep character development and most importantly actual animations something that this game doesn't have and that takes a very long time to make all of these reasons listed is the reason updates take about a year now for BaDIK.

Eruption Imminent along with most AVN don't even don't have to work on half the elements I listed above so in theory it shouldn't take them as long as BaDIK but like I said this is just in theory in an ideal perfect world which is not since we don't know how much time each dev has to work on a game or if its just a hobby for them at the end of the day it will be done when its done we can all wait a few more months for the update but I just wanted to reply to this comment because I found the comparison to BaDIK a bit weird and unfair considering the absolute stellar quality that game has and is leagues above almost every AVN to date.

It's stupid to compare these games, they are about different things and have different fetishes.

DPC works full time on Being a DIK, Morrigan does not. Not to mention the very different amount of money that they earn from patreon that allows them to buy pcs with the best components to speed up the process.
Makes no sense to compare DPC and Morrigan output wise.

should say that to the original person that was comparing them, his reply was just why it doesn't compare to it.
Yet they still compare them and put the other game in a pedestal like it is the "last cookie in the package" when it isn't, yes it is one of my favorite games but there are as good and even slightly better and many of those devs wish they were full time or even have a team behind them or had similar resources. Anyway had to "unignore" the content of that member to see what they said and confirmed, they started well but ended up doing what they were complaining about lol typical, no wonder I have them ignored.

Depending on your route, your booze level, your romantic interests, and other choices done during the party, you'll get plenty different outcomes..
Just my personal opinion but I feel like it's a huge amount of variables and choices... I know a lot of people will say this will be great for replayability but my experience of AVNs is that I find replaying the same event or game several times to explore different routes feels like a grind, I usually don't have enough patience or time to go through the same novel several times again just for extra scenes (I end up skipping all the dialogues just for the scenes), it's completely different from an actual choice based video game with actual gameplay involved... I'm also a bit older now and don't have as much time to spend on these as I used to...

I was already not convinced by the decision of having 3 separate routes and being railroaded into one profile... And also knowing that Evelyn, one of my favourite characters in the game will most likely not feature in this update at all (unless there's a surprise plot), doesn't make me super enthusiastic about this one.

I'm still hoping to be wrong and I'll still play this update when it comes out but I've been disappointed with the direction the game has taken in the last couple of updates.
Once again that's just my 2 cents...

My point was Render and scene count. You're bringing up all those extra shit.

Well the answer is easy. Just make three saves on each profile and you are all set. The game offers 3 times fun than.
