Weird half my post was deleted because it quoted a post that apparently was deleted. Anyway, to summarize I'm hoping what the developer was saying in his update about the new game having less baggage and being easier to update is true, because tiny updates after over four months kinda blow.

Immediately at the start of the game you have an option to visit a console in the bottom left of your room that lets you visit the checkpoint area (to skip to a certain place in the story) and the gallery.

The gallery is a bit of a letdown right now as it has a CG collection that's missing a lot and not much else.

After this, the next release will begin as a new project. The current game has grown heavy, and starting fresh will let me shape the next chapter without dragging old assets behind.

Ah okay I was wondering what was going on. This is relatively normal for big games that use RPGMaker so that's fine with me.

While I'm excited at the prospect of this story having a proper continuation, I'm more than a little disappointed that we never got a proper look/arc at the milking farms, besides the one scene with the device in the Interrogation Chamber near the end. May Ariestra will make a side arc down the line, a possible 'bad end' where you disobey or get caught at a certain junction and get sent there.

Yes, it's a hybrid process. I create the base renders and compositions myself to keep character consistency, then use AI tools for the final finish and post-processing.
