Think that just filters games tagged as JP so that includes those that are not MTL translated.

EDIT: I managed to get past it by going forward first (reached the guys with mushrooms) and doing some other stuff (lighting fires to the tunnel leading to the cane), when I returned to the miner the scene didn't fail any more.

This is just the save file. You need to include global.rpgsave and config.rpgsave too, otherwise it doesn't work

Honestly I'm not good with programming, but I guess it has something to do with trigger points (like some actions are not supposed to be taken after a certain event which would otherwise lead to a dead end). The black screen happens in some other spots as well, I just make saves often and roll back.
