Thought it was implied that that trick was due to his 100 percent compatibility rating, not his irl physical abilities or his in-game stats...
that doesnt explain how he is connected to the demon world from the previous game, or why did the get that phone call when we first get to the city, after the train ride and before meeting the family, commanding him to "free calypso and open the founders door" before he even got the game. MC is definitely somebody "special", not just some random guy with a with percent compatibilty.

Yeah, I keep wondering about that phone call too, I didn't even notice or remember it until my second playthrough. Maybe 100% compatibility means that the MC could connect to the game even without the gear? Like he's so compatible that his mind just connects on its own...

I posted earlier that I suspect some of the NPCs aren't basic AIs but spirits bound to the game, including Calypso, the Eternum Lady, and the Praetorians. If we combine that with the "more real than real life" thing, Eternum may not actually be a true virtual world and instead be the spirit realm with the players astral projecting into it with a combination of technology and magic. Going further, this may be where Astaroth originally came from. Consider that he drops Calypso's name in one of the bad ends in OIAL. This could mean that the compatibility thing is related to magic potential or something similar. OIAL's MC and his sisters may also have a high compatibility if that's true, given that they're the children of a demon.

Now that's a theory.

Was it ever confirmed in-game that he's connected to the demon world, or is this just an assumption/theory based on the demonic-looking eyes that the MC had in one of the random flashing images prior to his first dream and when he sensed an arrow coming straight at him?

As for the random phone call,

Also, the mere fact that Orion (the MC) has perfect compatibility with the system already makes him "special," given that Idriel mentioned that there hasn't been one like him in quite a while and Alex says that it's impossible for someone like him to exist (implying that it has really been a VERY long while since someone like him popped along). And I'm betting on my near-dying kidneys that his compatibility rating, his mysterious eyes, and his superhuman reflexes are all connected.

Did Caribdis ever confirmed that the incest patch is canon? Because this is news to me if true.

Assuming that this theory is true, I'm not sure how I feel about living humans having the power to create pocket planes in the spirit realm (that is, the "servers") and incorporating/molding spirits that exist there in said realms...for entertainment purposes...and with a mysterious founder overseeing all of the bullshit...oh no...

...Forget "Ready Player One," this is basically magitech "Westworld" with spirits instead of AI...oh gods if that's the case I hope the story doesn't end up like the HBO version. Not sure if I like the thought of Calypso or the mystery dream girl going Dolores mode and crossing over to the real world to destroy humanity in one of the endings...

Also, assuming that this theory is true, I'm still scratching my head as to what the Founder's end goal is in all of this, because I doubt that he's just doing all of this for money and profit. And there's also the fact that he's willing to step down from his seat once someone finds the Ten Gems of Doom...maybe that one theory I saw floating around a while back that he wants to die and that the gems will help him with that is legit...but that doesn't explain that woman reaching out to Orion (the MC) for help, and it's likely that that is connected also to what the Founder is really up to...maybe him stepping down is not necessarily true, and that there's something more to it...and if it's all for some magic ritual or something, it's still up in the air as to what that ritual is and what's it for...Immortality? Unlocking more power? But those will just be a rethread of OIAL if ever...hmm...

/stares at his imaginary investigation wall

...Nah, I need more info...and coffee...definitely a lot more coffee...

I don't think they can technically confirm that what with Patreon's rules, so, no.

Astaroth implied Calypso was his enemy so she's probably benevolent. Idriel is ambiguous. No idea what the hell is going on with Creepy Dream Girl. I'm guessing Eternum was created either to solve some sort of problem, like creating a defense system against malevolent spirits, or to give The Founder control over the spirit world. It's probably easier to crowd source finding the Gems of Doom than hunting for them himself, and he might be able to just pluck them out of some player's account/inventory depending on how much control he already has.

At any rate, I suspect the line between the real world and Eternum is going to get very fuzzy.

As for the people helping the MC, I'm guessing they're either connected to the Sons of Astaroth or to the OIAL protagonists. Of course, they could be a new faction, but given Lilly's interest in Eternum I doubt we've seen the last of them.

I dunno, man. Astaroth mentioned in that ending that she's the only thing that could be a hindrance to his plans, but I don't think that automatically means that she's benevolent. For all we know she could be a rival demon of sorts who got imprisoned in the hidden "server"...possibly thanks to the Founder or due to some other reason. Or maybe she's someone who's neither benevolent nor malevolent, and is basically a free agent who has her own goals and might need some convincing (or, given that this is a porn game, some uhh..."tender loving care") in order for her to join MC's crew.

As for the latter...I half-joked a while back that Stabby Mike might be involved with/is the one behind the Syndicate...but if on the off-chance that that turns out to be true then I hope there's some dialogue asking him what's with all the creepy cryptic bullshit since he's usually straight to the point...

Agreed, every character we've seen comment on it has said they've never heard of anyone being 100% compatible before. Aside from the standard "chosen one" gimmick, I'm curious if we'll learn more about why and what exactly makes MC this way. y.
Because Eternum Founder is his dad, I suppose.
