If you don't mind playing a game that looks like it was made using a potato laptop* and you can forgive its somewhat slow start, then I suggest giving it a whirl.

Stabby is one of the greatest Deux Ex Machina plot devices in the history of game devices. You think you're just finding out a person who happens to almost stab you but because Cari needed him a BUNCH of times, he becomes a serious WTF machine by the end of the game.

He's not the only one like that though. More than half of the girls are just side pieces while only two or 3 are really needed at all because they follow you EVERYWHERE. You get skeletons of a great game that really needed some fleshing out like Eternum and when you play it, you find good pacing, good story, and decent writing that makes you shake your head at the logic and gaps that had to be filled in due to the transition to Eternum.

It was an absolute diamond in the rough but yeah, Eternum wouldn't be the game it is today if it wasn't for the lessons and feedback Cari had gotten while working on OIAL.

You mean the scene in the yakuza meeting in Japan? I don't remember him in a Casino, but entering as a mafioso happens in that scene. :)

I don’t remember exactly how it was, since I’ve been finished playing for 2 years already :ROFLMAO: but I remember one moment when everyone was sitting in the casino and decided to introduce Mc to everyone, and then Mike suddenly appeared

It was at that Yakuza meeting, he took over one clan (by most likely eliminating its oyabun, wakagashira, shateigashira and its saiko-komon) and renamed said organization as the "Stabby clan". All in a matter of days. Talk about that man's lethality. :eek: :eek:

Both Dorf and ArDzer answered for me, but it was the Yakuza meeting I remember that part perfectly because I played OIAL recently so I had no doubt about it.
Also if you look at the scene, the MC and Mike make the same appearance and have almost similar suit and shoes, it was hilarious...:LOL::LOL:

Yeah, the equivalent of S. Mike is more so Chang being so capable of Heists but not IN Eternum.

What Cari truly learned from OIALT is the ability to make a diverse cast and allow someone to fail and gain growth. Too many characters would only get strengths to the point that they were Mary Sues or overlapped niches in the story.

The only one that seems utterly useless is A--...
