Seriously though: I had completely forgotten, that that was even the reason Orion got that scholarship because of developing a game? I would actually have to look that up again, because it really never matters in the whole game so far. :HideThePain:

Orion being eligible for the exchange program was due to that plus his high grades, yes. Personally I think that hardly matters anymore, tho it's possible that he could go back to it by the end of the story if Eternum shuts down and people go back to playing videogames the old-fashioned way.

Who knows? He might even become the next Eric Barone and strike big with an indie hit (or create a VR game that comes close to the feeling of playing Eternum itself). Would help him provide for that big-ass family of his (not to mention it sounds better than being CEO to a sinister megacorp that profits from the dead and the gullible).

I honestly just filled it in with head canon. Since you can do almost anything in Eternum the video game industry is now largely dominated by one company and there aren't as many jobs to go around, so Orion just moved on. I didn't think about it too deeply, that seemed a good enough explaination for me.

One quite important detail that Cari hasn't touched yet is how good Orion is with computers and coding. One of the very first things he tells us is that Orion got the scholarship because he made his own videogame. That is NEVER brought back! Why is he not making games or software? Why are software companies not asking for his resume?
I'd imagine software companies aren't asking for his resume because there's a difference between showing marketable skills and showing academic potential. Getting into a private high school on the back of a game he developed is proof they don't think he's too inept to educate, doesn't mean companies see him as adept enough to hire.

That makes me wonder: How much time has passed since Orion arrived at Kredon, until the current end of 0.7.5? A few Months at best? I didn't really pay attention to the time elapsed while reading (too busy staring at pringle cans :LUL:)

We don't see him really spend much time on his academics, just a bit in the beginning, and mostly just as a plot device to get more screen time with the girls (like Alex).

Oh, we are at the "Cari is a milker" point of the week again.

Yes, development this time around takes somewhat longer. Yes, we all would love to get it sooner. Still the whining and moaning in this pirate forum where you get the games for free about lazy developer "milking their supporters" is one of the most hilarious cases of entitlement I have ever seen. If you're a higher level supporter and you're actually paying for the content, okay. But complaining here of all places? Just be happy with what you get for free.

This isn't another complaint, but just curious - how many months after 0.6 did 0.7 drop? Doesn't really feel all that much longer to me.

I don't recall that one exactly, all I can say is that yes, previous ones were faster. Still many were baffled due to how fast it was, taking into account the amount of content and it's quality, and even his fans asked him to not burnout himself.

This isn't a case of dev "asking time", no, the fans were actually concerned about his health and wondered if this pace could keep up until the end.

So yeah, personally I just ignore personal attacks to him of milking and stuff like that. In general, his fanbase actually knows that he needs time to keep a decent amount of content in an healthy way. But even if he simply wanted some time to scratch his balls, he was always transparent about that, and as long the content has quality that's all that matters to me.

I feel like even if certain updates take longer due to any circumstances,
when it comes to a dev like this, i have no issues with it.
Anybody who enjoys this game, whether it be renders, story etc.
Will 100% know, that its well worth the wait, and our satisfaction is 99%(nothing is ever a 100%) guaranteed.
Compared to many other devs that somehow manage to keep people around,
even with extreme inconsistency, ghosting, false promises & more.
A dev like Caribdis is definitely a blessing, in a AVN-world filled with inconsistency.

I preached a lil bit there, my bad. :3
