Oh holy Caribdis, could you post a music playlist? You've had good taste for a while now.

This is the playlist used so far for the game as of v0.4.
P.S: I still can't find the one used when Nova throws the pan at the protagonist.

is House in the Rift really that good? I played it a bit, got into it cuz it had that whole dimensional/sci fi plot that got me hooked to Ripples, OIaL and Eternum, but just started feeling like a sandbox with repetitive scenes to unlock more scenes with no real plot progression
Hmm… could be recency bias since it’s the second to last game I played (the last being PC) but I think you need to look at AHITR almost as a kind of palette cleanser. Whereas games like Ripples and Eternum have that drama and sci fi element and sometimes even horror, AHITR is a lot more relaxed and prefers to take things easy in its direction.

Is it the best written game out there? No. Are the characters written with some of the most depth I’ve ever seen? No. Does it have cutesy shenanigans and wholesome moments that will make me take my hand off my dick and smile? Yes.

Besides, I’d say it’s worth playing for best wife Rae alone. She has some fantastic chemistry with the MC, a pleasant surprise considering he’s a self insert.

Thank you for the honest review, I guess I'll give it another shot with a different mindset. I liked how the game looked visually, just expected more plot progression since it was so highly rated and close to the other three/four HS games up there

But I guess I'll play it more like a slice of life

No worries! I'm glad you found it helpful. Slice of life is precisely the description I was looking for when I posted it.

That song also plays when you reach Nancy's home after the protagonist and Annie are picked up by her as well.
Speaking of which does anyone know what song plays during Dalia's scene at the beach? When Orion claims his bet. :sneaky:

I think this is the song in question.

And here's the entire playlist if you're interested in other songs. It's up to date (v0.4).

Just my two cents for the update poll:
I feel right now the length is perfect. It's big enough that I can really sit down for it, make myself comfortable, and be fulfilled with the story by the end. Whilst also having enough space every time for a big cliffhanger. The feeling of chapters. I think the cliffhangers may feel a little forced if the updates are shorter. And I feel like it's already long enough to be epic each time. Longer, for me, will not make it that much better but still has increased waiting time. Update every 3 months really has me hooked, to be honest :p One of the best things about you as a creator, is that your updates always feel like a complete and satisfying arch.
Also, Caribdis you'll know this best yourself (as with all suggestions though), but maybe switching gears now will be a little wonky, because the game has this groove already. I think if you sink into this groove the quality will be easier to maintain and the game will feel more consistent if you play it from beginning to end.
But in the end, if you feel like changing, I know you'll make it work!
Thanks a bunch!

I have to agree with you. I feel like the 4 months update rhythm is very justifiable because we know we will get a hearty portion of contents, top-notch in quality of course. If we are to half this into 2-months update cycle, each with half the contents, I don't know if I will be as satisfy.
Then again I am not a patron currently so this is just my unsolicited view that need not be taken seriously.

Big updates are usually always better then short ones. Generally, 2 short update that take for example 4 months will always be shorter than 1 big update that takes 4 months because a developer suppose to do things like: testing, compiling, debugging, uploading - 2 times(1 per update) instead of 1. Also psychological factor is also important: people usually like to relax a bit after work(in this case, after the release of the update). After all, I'm guessing that 2 short updates will have about 10% less content than 1 big update.

So if you care about the amount of content, it's probably safer to choose big updates over short ones.

I agree that I like the update length as it is, but I also think Caribdis shouldn't limit himself to current system of one update every four months. He should keep as much creative freedom as possible, and make the updates just as long as makes sense for the story, which may mean updates that sometimes are longer, sometimes shorter.

Ultimately the quality of the product is more important than update length. If you get too formulaic with, say, always doing four normal scenes and three h-scenes every update, then I feel like the creativity may suffer, and predictability is boring.

Oh there's no doubt this is going to be an inevitability. HS1/2 are fine, but you can only do so much with them until you inevitably run out of assets and material to work with.
I am pretty doubtfull that this will be the case and I certainly hope that it won't be.
Daz games look atrocious.
If there's one thing I don't want in a porn game it's getting creeped out by the dead, lifeless eyes of its models.
