Chang's girlfriend being Thanatos does actually make some amount of sense. Not only is she big and strong enough to be Thanatos, it would also explain why she didn't kill MC + Dalia when presented the chance.



And if Chang is Chop Chop plus his girlfriend is Thanatos, then MC's friends already have 5/10 of the Gems of Doom on top of the 2/3 Weapons of Atlas!

...unless Chang goes hoes before bros and turns on MC to take over Eternum with his girlfriend. That would be a dark twist gollwed by an epic final bossfight.

I'd actually prefer if the last girl is ThanatosCalypso technically won't make sense to romance unless she is intended to be a high-level, human-like AI similar to Idriel. Theory-wise, Thanatos I believe is just a moniker for the number 1 player and no one knows his/her name and the avatar seems to be a transformation rather than actual armor. Actually... I believe Luna IS Thanatos.

Also, don't forget, Chang doesn't have an implant and Micaela spends nearly all of her time training.

Yeah, don't put too much though into that. It's like Star Trek. You need to set some convoluted and bizzarre set of rules to justify why the characters can't use their abundant technology to solve the adventure of the week in the most obvious and direct way (and i love Star Trek, before someone get mad).

This story about stuff that happens in a virtual environment needs actual stakes (you can die) and no easy way out (you can't disconnect at will). Otherwise there would be no tension and the game wouldn't be immersive.

Sometime you need to compromise a bit of logic.

Both forms of disconnects will still kill your character in game.

I don't normally comment. But this is probably the best game I have ever played and I have played a lot of VNs and other Rpgs. Kudos to the developer. I wish this game gets a 3D open world system. It would be so cool.

Are there even any incest capable characters? Serious question, I am giving the game a little time to develop before I play. I'm not talking about people just arbitrarily choosing characters, my question is more whether there's any in the game who could officially have had incest if circumstances were more in favor of that content.


He literally can't anyway, Patreon would defund the game the second they found out.


Not needed, and assuming my question above is a no to having two characters that could be considered an incest pair if they had sex, something that doesn't belong. I am actually someone who specifically goes after incest games, but there are limits, you can't just arbitrarily choose two characters and say they are related now, especially if they weren't before. It just doesn't feel natural compared to incest intended by the developers.


There's one reason that I can name without even considering the story just by looking at the first page of the thread, Patreon.

Nancy, Penelope and Dalia could EASILY be family (Nancy the young aunt who babysat him and the other two being cousins). I'm playing it just now, because I'm still crying from this not having a patch, so didn't try it when 0.1 came out. At the moment, can't say with certainty whether it would be needed or not, not sure if things like the MC at school saying "That's just Dalia. You grew up together! She's practically your sister!" is just simple bait and teasing and whether a patch you change anything significantly. You see, Once was by default step and the patch just removed that fugly word and the game continued as it was (dunno how the heck Patreon didn't do anything about that). Unsure how this would fit here, are a lot of changes required. I am all for a patch, would be beggin', BEGGING for it, as long as it as a "totally non-official, Totally not Caribdis, totally not affiliated with Caribdis" patch, instead of a random schmuck going "Imma patch this"

yeah...don't remind me...it's not something i enjoy u.u but it's not about the incest again...but the drama combined with the love beyond every social construct and every law of the universe XD

I mean, the plot of The Inn, without the incest patch, is about two foster-parents(or orphanage managers) adopting 3 kids(Luana, Val and MC) and growing together for a long while(and developing a form of love for each other), until the male-manager/foster-father kicks out MC...for reasons.

It's not incest...but are you going to tell me that they never developed some sibling-like-affection...until hormones kicked in at least?

Music and sound effects in most games suck. Eternum and Artemis are the best titles I've seen so far. Artemis has better music ( to me ) but the music here really fits the scenes and the sound effects are dang near perfect. I NEVER play with sound on......but I do for these two titles. Several others aren't bad necessarily, but just aren't anything great so why bother. For the first time out of (literally) hundreds of games and VN's I actually think the music and sounds add to the experience instead of doing nothing or, worse, make you think a kids carnival is parked outside your window

This is my most anticipated VN that's being updated right now, along with Being a DIK. Once in a Lifetime was fantastic: zany but engaging story, well-written character interactions and dialogue, and excellent humour that hit just right for me.

Eternum builds on all of those strengths and improves vastly in the weaknesses: graphics and narrative distribution on each of the main girls. 0.2 was especially great and offered very good scenes with each of the main girls while keeping a good narrative pace. The character models for the are all beautiful and I know some people don't like the anime style models but I'm a huge fan.

I felt that OIALT lacked a bit of character development for all the non-Lauren and Judie girls, but Eternum has been very balanced so far and I hope to see more quality emotional depth like what we had with Alex this update.

Caribdis you're doing an awesome job and I can't wait for the next update. I usually wait to pay on non-completed games but Eternum is worth a Patreon subscription and I also absolutely need to show my support for how much I enjoyed OIALT.
