For a Honey Select 2 game, the models look way more striking and detailed than others I recall. Even the dev's last game didn't come close to this.

I had forgotten about that. Maybe some type of higher power that managed to become a ghost-in-the-machine? We have proven 'dark side powers' that exist in this world, so why not their opposites?
That could actually be a pretty cool storyline.

We also know OIAL and Eternum are in the same universe, since Eternum is mentioned as an upcoming in-universe game in OIAL and Stabby Mike is mentioned as having been president in Eternum's intro. This new MC has also been having freaky dreams like the previous MC. Something supernatural is going on for sure. I suspect that Eternum runs on a form of magitech rather than being pure technology, and the seemingly sapient AIs, such as Idriel, Calypso, and the Praetorians, are secretly bound spirits rather than code, with Calypso possibly being on a similar power level to Astaroth.

I thought of the Praetorians as more of a direct-connect human/machine interface....Deckers from Shadowrun if you are old enough to remember that....but magitech would be far more in keeping with what we know of this world.

I was not expecting Calypso to be a side girl mostly because of her significance to the story and the dialogue about her in the dev's previous game.
In any case looking forward to the next update. Its nice to see that we will be spending more time in game and visiting more servers in 0.3. I am also hoping for more in game details (player levels, character class etc) for all the main girls. At the very least I hope to see more in game details about the MC's stats.

Slightly disappointed that there's not going to be a main LI exclusive to the world of Eternum, i think it would have made for an interesting relationship even if it meant no hanging out in the real world, but i guess it's way more convenient if they're all near the MC from the start.
There's also no instance of meeting a main girl in the game world before meeting them in the real world, not that this bit would have mattered much since the characters look the same unless they cover their face like Thanatos, but it would have been nice having some diversity in the introductions.

Yes, when you start the game, there will be the option to turn pregnancy content on/off. Not sure when we'll see it though.

Who said she's side? Side girls are once or sporadic bangs in the game. Whatever the role of Calypso will be in the story, she is gonna be a prominent prencence, i would guess.

Well she is being bundled along with side girls in the 'others' category so I think it is safe to conclude she is a side girl. Side girls can have varying amounts of content and like you said she is probably going to have a presence in the story but it may not be as prominent as I was originally thinking it would be. I thought she would on par with the main girls (including having her own path and points).
This is all speculation of course idk how the story will develop. My reasoning is just based on the fact that if she was important enough she would have her own character card and would not be bundled with the others.
