Also if you look at the scene, the MC and Mike make the same appearance and have almost similar suit and shoes, it was hilarious...

What Cari truly learned from OIALT is the ability to make a diverse cast and allow someone to fail and gain growth. Too many characters would only get strengths to the point that they were Mary Sues or overlapped niches in the story.
The only one that seems utterly useless is A--...
