Earlier prediction was between 12 and 20 based on an earlier post in this thread by Elyxus. Then on Discord he mentioned that the remaining updates were "between 4 and 8." Now we're at 12-14.

I've said it before, but anything more than 15 updates was going to be a pipedream unless the pacing significantly slowed down or the next updates were full-on downtime episodes like 0.5. The fact that Cari is gunning for something shorter than that means we're about to hit some major plot revelations going forward...possibly starting at 0.7.

If that's the case, well...

I mean...it depends on how those 20 updates would've been filled content-wise.

Generally a more concentrated story is better than a story that meanders a lot just to reach 20 updates, brevity and wit and all that. :unsure:

And yeah...maybe Cari was able to either include or get close to an important plot point with 0.7 so now he might able to have a better picture of the number of updates he will likely still need to tell his tale.

At the very least, there's likely going to be one more downtime update similar to 0.5 (plus one more real world focused chapter that centers around Ulysses corp...still think Cari's gonna tackle that one sooner or later). Not sure if 0.8 is going to be THAT update, but it'll be the one with the most slice-of-life stuff that's being teased since the recent update (the Christmas Ski Trip and Dalia's Birthday). We'll see, I suppose.

Since i firmly believe this to be a real threat and not a trap...

...progress into Ulysses and some insights there could be potential cliffhanger material. If you think about it, outside of William and that they don't have contact with the founder we really do not know all that much about them considering how big of a player they are with their resources. Maybe a face reveal of some sorts? Who knows...

So we immediately go from "what could the story beats be?" to "what could the cliffhanger be?"... :HideThePain:

The problem is of course, that there is no telling if that comment was Cari foreshadowing or just trolling... :lepew:

I think this was before people vote longer updates instead early ones. 5-7 more updates like the last one are 3 years of high quality content, I'm happy with that.

And yeah, the cliffhanger will be horrible for my health. I'm not prepared.

He make 6% per 2 weeks, 11% left, say we 4 weeks... Probably few days to assemble it, say we a week... So, at earliest, sometime in the second part of March...

At this point March is pretty much ensured if he doesn't hit a snag during the last few percents...at least for the Demon Lord tier Patreons.
