Knowing Cari he probably ain't gonna let that be the case. Unless he ends up being sick or the update seriously needs more time to cook then he'll want to be as productive as possible. Having only one update per year would probably sound like a regression to him (especially since he takes pride in his speedy releases).

I have the same problem on both my macbook and my pc with my old saves. Figured I just wait to the public release so check with the dev what could be causing it.
Try some autosaves before you give up if you haven't already.

True, but without any sort of long holiday like Christmas and the New Year as roadblocks to progress, making good on his promise of a faster dev time for 0.8 sounds a lot more feasible.Although...wanting to cut down development time and actually doing it are two different things...
that still leaves 0.8 with a release date around mid November (if the same dev time as 0.7) or late October (if shorter), if we remove the "almost 1 month break during the holidays" factor then just maybe we can get a September release.
