I would say yes. Whatever happens in the game, stays in the game. The player only experiences the sensations. At least at the point I am in the story, that´s what happens, I don´t know what happens going forward.

Well... considering that she does explain that she gave one of her swords to Penny and is sorry she did not have 3rd one i dont think there is any plotholes here other than maybe questioning why not give scabbard too. As for the weight, if these are the swords made to kill vampires and/or werewolves considering it IS the hunters outfit set, i am guessing it is not made of steel and rather silver which is lighter. Lastly from the angle those swords could easily not be swords to begin with and maybe something like katana or wakizashi but that is me reaching at this point
