Personally, I think the harem variable makes a big difference. If the variable is set to FALSE, you really have to be on a solo route, otherwise you'll lose the chosen girl, regardless of whether you're messing around with a LI or a SC. Annie's case in EP 8 demonstrates this very clearly.
If the variable is set to TRUE, however, Nancy makes a clear statement:
Python:
if harempath:
n "I'm a big girl, [mc]."
n "I can handle rejection."
n "I can handle... pain."
n "But you're the first love of these girls. Be kind to them."
mc "I want..."
n "As “unusual” as our lives are, we're all still human."
n "If you ever hurt Nova, Annie, Luna, or Alex... I'll be seriously mad at you, young man."
show gp 83
n "Oh, and if you EVER hurt Penny or Dalia..."with dis12
n "I'll straight-up murder you."
else:
n "I'm still not sure of how you convinced me that this could work, [mc]."
show gp 83
n "But if my daughters stop talking to me because of you..."with dis12
n "I'll straight-up murder you."
play sound planks
show gp 84
n "*Walking backwards* Just wanted to make that clear." with dis17
show gp 85
mc "*Chuckles* Got it."
if harempath:
mc "I love you all, Nancy. I swear."
else:
mc "I'll start working on it."
mc "I love you, Nancy."
show gp 84
n "Good."
if harempath:
n "We love you too."
else:
n "I love you too."
n "And that's all that matters."
That includes Dalia. I'm not worried about her anymore.
I'm not so sure about Calypso, whether she's in the harem or not. We'll see. What I probably know for sure is that the Calypso_interest variable will be crucial, which will be seen in EP 9. Since I'm playing both extreme paths, it will be interesting to see the differences.
