Oh yea, I'd agree with most of what you said. I just know some people can like scifi but hate fantasy and vice versa, so something that's been mostly scifi and only incidentally fantasy turning heavy on the fantasy might be really annoying for them. The line between sci-fi/fantasy is pretty blurry, IMHO. Star Wars is a fantasy novel w/ lasers, while subspace in Star Trek is pretty much magical, for e.g. More important, people usually get more attached to characters than settings, so as long as those first stay consistent, it should be fine. I-4-1 would welcome this *cof, massively telegraphed, cof.* twist, specially if this meant less time spent in the "real world", since the high school drama or Alex's daddy issues are my least favorite part of the game.
I'd miss Luna and her bro dad's* shenanigans, tho.
*By "bro dad" I mean a dad who is a bro, not some "landlord" thing, uhm-kay?
I-4-2 would love the twist and to leave the real world behind much more. No reason to stay if all the girls are going to be joining us in leaving "the real world".
