VN - Ren'Py - Eternum [v0.8.5 Public] [Caribdis]

i'm not a reviewer usually because not a lot of VN intrigue me so much as Eternum, but i had to review this absolutely gem of a game.

Before i continue i must warn that if you are looking for a quick pump and dumb, this is not the right VN for you.

Now, i want to start with the story and how amazing and fast it start to catch you, at the start you'll realize how good the character looks and chuckle or, like me, laugh at the jokes and reference the game have; by then getting caught in their life, wanting to know more about them and see where the story goes.
And this is another point for the game, the characters are amazin, both visually and their development, nothing to say, all amazing.
We go then to the sex scene, there is not a word for how good they are, they don't feel rushed, they don't feel janky, they feel...."right", the movement, the pace, what lead to them, all felt right and extremely well done.
Last point i wanna make is the music, please please please, follow the developer advise and play with music on, it makes the game soooo much more beautiful, whoever chose them, they been doing an amazing job.

In short, this is an amazing game, well crafter and well worth the time.
Thank you Caribdis for making a gem of a VN.

Truly a masterpiece of a Game

This game is really well done! Nice transitions from slow to fast during the lewd scenes.You don't often see a dev not just speed up current animation, but adjust for a more realistic and sexy appeal! The story line is well developed and fun (not just a "cut and paste" ) .I'd recommend this game to everyone (unless you're just looking for a fap-fest,lol)

This game is on another level when compared to other VNs. The writing is good, characters are lively and relatable, and the story is gripping. The graphics and animations are absolutely brilliant. If there's a adult VN you should definitely try, no question its this one.

However, I have one minor critique which stems from my personal taste in these kind of taboo-harem VNs. The main essence which make these games so hot in my opinion (Especially Once In a Lifetime - last game by the same dev) is the voyeurism and slow buildup of erotic scenes which happen with the girls and Milfs living in the MCs house. Despite of kinda bad graphics, Once In a Lifetime executed that aspect perfectly. The scenes where the girls spied on the MC having hard-ons while sleeping were so hot. This is where Eternum is lacking a bit compared to the last game. The H-content in Eternum is much more straightforward and maybe even a bit rushed IMO (You get to the fucking-stuff pretty fast and there isn't as much sexual tension as in OIL)

Regardless a must-play. If you haven't tried Once In a Lifetime I strongly recommend playing through that one first.

I've been playing this game for a while, and all I can say it's just perfect in every aspect, the game is funny, I love a lot the personalities from all the characters, they are so unique and they're not annoying, and you could think it's almost like every harem game, but here you actually got the decisions, if you want to pass on a girl you can, that's actually pretty impresive I must say, anyway, 10/10 game.
Sorry if something that is written there isn't right, I'm still learning English.

Love the graphic and the story, nice character, plot and background music. Really worth playing, and worth to typing 200 chars to rate this game, cause I really enjoy it and I can't wait for the next episode.

Not some corny porn game with bad grammar; the plot is amazing, and the dialogue is well-written. Each character has their own personality, loves, hates, insecurities, etc. Top-notch.

Animations - 10/5

I cannot stress how AMAZING the animation is in this game. The models are beautiful, and the scenes... WHEW!

UI/Gameplay - 5/5

Easy to navigate VN, but with choices you have to pay attention to. Has some cool mini-games to advance the story.

No idea why it took me so long to play this game, but I am kinda glad I did since (at v. 7.5), it's pretty fleshed out so far. If you haven't played Eternum, you're missing out. This game deserves every 5 star rating it has.

Caribdis, you are on another level, mate.

great story, great visuals, great everything. Caribdis deserves HUGE respect for making something this great. Truly a modern day classic and a masterpiece in the making . enough glazing lol just play it.

Genuinely addicting, On par or better than pale carnations, the story is super compelling and the world building is fantastic, I could not sign the praises of Eternum better. One of the only games I've ever played which have genuinely kept me engaged for 8 hours with next to no breaks. Even though its a VN it doesn't feel like it, god, this game is so good, do yourself a favor and check it out or wait till release because you're gonna feel frustrated that the game isn't finished when you reach current limit because of how good it is.

so great. the story is fun. It was a bit horrible, but the visual good, the character details are natural, the character is obvious, I like almost characters and NPC, Sex scenes are also lovedI've seen the best game I've ever seen.

Bro this game is something else, this is my second review ever and its crazy becouse i dont even care about sex scenes no more xD after playing through 0.1v to 0.6v im starting to slow down cuz i dont want the story to end honestly.
will surely consider supporting the dev in the future, this is the best expirience ive ever gotten.

Just realised I had never reviewed this despite being a long time fan

Literally the pinnacle of the adult visual novel as of 2024. I stress the novel there, it focuses less on branching choices/paths/stories but makes up for it tenfold in quality of everything else.

Graphics, Music, Writing, Lewds, even the pace of updates, all 10/10.

Play it ASAP if you are a harem fan

Probably the best game I've seen on this site so far, and easily the best Honey Select game in terms of CGs and writing.

In concept, Eternum's setting is an excuse to throw the protagonist and his harem of gals in a wide range of settings and genres to keep you on your toes for what's to come. This serves to keep the action fresh and get the girls into a ton of cute genre-specific outfits, though I wish we had a little more time in places like Ion and Ekabar that look fantastic but we rarely see.

The first thing that grabbed me about Eternum was how funny it was. The writing is incredibly witty and every character has a distinct voice that comes through in the dialogue. Caribidis knows how to play out a natural, casual conversation as well as a lot of dramatic dialogue very competently.
The "romance" in this game is well-done and believable, and I buy into every one of these characters having developed an affection for each other over their hunt for the Gems of Doom.

The character art is gorgeous and the animation is top-notch, though if you're going into this game for a quick tug and expect to be done in five minutes you'll be annoyed.

I'm not a big fan of visual novels but lately I'm getting a good taste of them,
Even though I was only looking for hot content I loved the story and the girls, the animations and the plot are great, It feels a little slow at first because I'm used to getting to the good part quickly, but I like that the game itself is very long so you can enjoy it for longer, it's a masterpiece.

I cant think of any better VN on this forum. Just great, nothing comes to mind that I'd list as a negative. If you haven't played it yet, you are missing out... big time. Waiting for each update, and I haven't been disappointed once.

This is, in my opinion, the best linear AVN on this site. The story, characters, soundtrack, humor, and especially the visuals truly stand out. It showcases plenty of genres and each environment in them is stunning. MC is a cool dude. I could sit here all day talking about how amazing this game is, but I think you'd get the point if I just stopped at telling you this game excels at almost everything it does.

If I had to squeeze blood from a stone and criticize anything about this game, it would be that in an (in universe) game with over 400,000,000 unique registered players (It's explained in-game that everyone can only have one 'account'), it's a stretch to say all of these items and information that almost every single player vies for just falls in to the MCs lap. It feels like the MC doesn't really earn anything, but this is so easily forgiven in my opinion it might as well be a non-issue.

In my opinion this is probably one of the best Adult Visual Novles out right now. Although, I do personally prefer Daz, this game and the models still look amazing. Not only that, it has comedy, drama, and suspense all wrapped in one great story! Hours and hours of entertainment!

This game is one of my favorites. The characters are well written, The MC is likeable, and the storyline is fantastic. The horror moments were scary, the humor made me laugh many times and the graphics were great. 10/10 because I had nothing I would take marks away for, excellent game that I will look forward to being updated!
