I mean, they're there as either consequences for bad/stupid decisions (i.e. selling Lauren) or as a glimpse of what happens if the player does absolutely nothing and isn't proactive enough (i.e. not having enough points for Dalia to not consider giving Jerry a chance). What, would you rather have the consequences be vanilla too?
Also they're not canon (this game in particular picks off more than a decade after OIAL's harem ending) so I don't see why you're so pissy that those endings even exist.
i loved what they did with the jump of boat button in the fourth time restricting my mouse lol

It works. Just tap the arrow key to get it on the option you want and hit enter once it's highlighted. Make sure you don't move your mouse during that or it'll snap back to the "forced" option.

While Nova is top tier for me, CoN teachings clearly state that all LIs are awesome, so I gotta agree - others should also have their own screentime. And after Nova realizing she actually likes watching I'm kinda afraid Cari will force her as an addition to single sex scenes with other girls. Threesome with Penny is kinda obvious, but it looks like Annie and Alex are also on the table - if it happens laaater on then fine, but if we gonna get Nova threesome every episode it'll be kinda weird.
Doubt it's gonna happen though, next episode Luna will take the spot, possibly some more action with Caly and probably Penny solo. If Nova gets added to Penny scene then well, I'm not gonna complain personally, but objectively I'm gonna agree that's playing favourites on Cari's part
