Given Orion's recently newfound resolve in being loyal to the LIs and that this arc would be better used to get even closer to Caly instead, I sure as hope that Cari wouldn't waste that on getting Orion's dick wet with some no-name maids who may or may not turn into Thanny shish kebab later on.
I have a feeling that Lorelei will be more important to the plot and the MC. For Calypso to even mention her name and then for her to show up at the end of last episode foreshadows at least something interesting happening with her. I could see Lorelei's father and his guards having a fight with Thanatos and the MC helping them. That may well be a turning point keeping the MC from getting his neck stretched as well as earning brownie points with Lorelei and Calypso. I actually predict that the MC will have a sporadic interdimensional teleportation as he is trying to save Calypso and Lorelei. Would be interesting to see what transpires with the three of them temporarily stranded in a random place until they figure out how to transport themselves back to a recognizable area.

After all this time ive been avoiding eternum, i finally played it. Long story short i finished it with immeasurable dissapointment.

Dissapointment of why didnt i keep avoiding it until its finished. Now, i know no games available will take the crown from it, and i'm left with jarring cravings for more yet unable to do anything except waiting. CURSE YOU CARIBDIS

I feel your pain. Not sure if you have tried Ripples. That one is pretty good. Companions of Darkness is interesting.

I mean if we're talking foreshadowing the Syndicate guy back at the Valley of Kings server mentioned a genocide happening in the near future. And since we want Orion and Caly to get out of Hyril'ar and back to the path of the main story then said event could refer to a genocide of the elves with Wyatt possibly initiating it (another foreshadowing to this would be Caly mentioning that she was prophecized to save her people, but there doesn't seem to be any potential threat to the elves at the moment except for Wyatt as he's someone who would be willing to cut down anything that would stand between him and anyone holding the gems, so leaving her realm with Orion would be the means for her to fulfill that prophecy). Lorelei and the General could instead die during the event (along with any other elf that Orion befriends during his stay), giving more reason for Orion to push himself to grow stronger beyond his current limits ('cause as it currently stands he can't even go against Wyatt and I dunno if having the LIs with him would be any improvement) while also giving reason as to why Caly would end up travelling back to Eternum/Kredon instead of being forced to stay in her homeworld and rule*.

*course the other option is she gets exiled or she sneaks off, but I feel like for the latter to occur she'll need a very solid reason for her to do that after trying desperately to get back home following her imprisonment. And no, lusting over Orion's magnum dong is not solid enough reason for that methinks

This is also a possible path. I feel Lorelei will have a bigger part to play though and will possibly survive. I do think that the general will probably die. I think the genocide is already occurring with the Xenomorphs. As a matter of fact, the Xenos themselves got culled nicely by Annie. I think the Xenos are going to cause a genocide event and then get themselves Darwin awarded by all of our cast of LI's. Since the Xenos are going from dimension to dimension, they could encroach on Hyril'ar. I think the MC certainly will undergo a set of events that will push him to become stronger. Just fighting Thanatos forces him to re-evaluate himself, but I think he has an ability he has yet to unlock that he simply does not know about. Previously, through Calypso's story, we learn that the challenger that defeated Yliar could absorb Yliar's power. This may or may not be due to the ten gems, but what if the power itself is inherent in the MC? Perhaps the ten gems merely strengthen an already present ability since it is likely the ten gems would not grant just anyone godlike power. That is likely a made up rumor to get others to collect them. It is likely that only Immortals and particular bloodlines can access the true power of the ten gems. I think it would be hilarious if Thanatos gets all ten gems and nothing happens, then the MC destroys him and takes them back only to gain his full power.
No, lust is not going to turn Calypso too drastically. She has a responsibility to her people. That responsibility will extend to the MC though since she sees him as an ally regardless of whether his presence fulfills certain taboo urges she has though.

The Syndicate member's wording on the genocide makes it sound like it's something "preventable," hence could be a negative event rather than something positive for the group, much less ongoing. It's for that reason why I thought it could be something that Orion would try to change, like something that would happen to Caly's people or some other massacre that might happen in the future.

It is possible. I am just looking at the genocidal event occurring with the Xenos right now.

I don't really see the Xenos as beneficial for the group per say, but the group is good at taking them out with Annie as their main weapon. The Xenos are spreading in a genocidal manner through the realms. Who knows if they can reach Earth and Hyril'ar, but I would not think it is impossible. In effect, The Founder may be using the Xenos to spur people to come forward and show themselves only to have Thanatos steal their gems. Thanatos is likely working for him either intentionally or unintentionally. We also had a genocide occurring with the Ishari (I think that is the term) people during the whole Xeno scenario with Dr. Mercer. There are several events occurring and who knows which one the Syndicate was pointing out.

Haven't tried ripples yet, but its for sure have been in my radar for quite some times, if its even half of the enjoyment i got from eternum then i would love it. Nevertheless, eternum had set a pretty high standard for AVN in my book. Though it has a severe same face syndrome like any other HS game, the story and build ups are compelling enough to get me hooked, not to mention the sex scene variation is top-notch, and somehow author is able to instill characters that are likeable

I agree, it wouldn't make sense considering his narrative at this point in the story.

Ripples is similar in some minor ways but think more "Back to the Future" vibes. I was pleasantly surprised when I finally tried it after I played Eternum. I was also looking for something worthy after Eternum.

I think it'll also be a good chance to show how Orion cares for her too and is no longer just a horndog who will go for anyone

Feels like the way the Syndicate guy enumerated the events is how they would go in order tho...

Like he mentioned Hyril'ar which is basically where Orion and Caly end up by the end of this update and where the first quarter of next update likely takes place. It's then followed by "the genocide," so that event could follow right after, then the loss of Orion's loved ones and the end of everything, which sound like bad endings (tho Cari gave warning on Discord that 0.9 or 0.10's cliffhanger is going to be just as brutal as 0.7's, so the "loss of loved ones" thing could happen then or something close to it happens which Orion will likely try to prevent).

So I don't really buy that the genocide is referring to the Xenomorph culling. Could be wrong, but eh, we'll see I guess.

I don't buy it, either. I think it's going to be something way more brutal and personal.

Another potential event would be the massacre of the WRE-ERE alliance against the Xenomorphs or anything that Nan and the group would not see coming. Would be horrifying to see if so.
Yep, that would indeed qualify as personal and brutal. People we care about, not random NPCs.

I actually did not remember the specifics of what this guy stated. It does seem to indicate a sequence of events. Indicating an inevitability and a preventability of these events is contradictory, therefore, seems to allude to a choice to be made as well as the ability to reverse that choice.

From the way the guy says it, and other comments from other characters, I'm under the impression we're heading into time loop territory, hence why it's both inevitable (it already happened) and preventable (could be prevented in this iteration of the loop).

Yep, quite possible. Or due to choices that the MC makes, a set of events will occur that he may not like, leading him to make other choices he also may not like. Hearkens back to what The Founder was asking him about whether he would sacrifice innocents for his loved ones and how that is considered helping others...
