I don't think Orion will ever use one of those boxes. Looks to me that they were introduced to illustrate just how corrupt some of the leadership of Eternum is and how absolutely depraved some of the players are. Given the first time it's introduced it's by a complete douchebag who rubs elbows with the elite that clearly disgusts Orion and the second time by a pedo who Orion can straight up kill.
It's a possibility, when I wrote about it I was joking ( but not completely), about the fact it could be the path for a bad end.
We just need to wait and see, as I said Cari had a reason when introducing that artefact, so everything is on the table. :)

Tbf. There were already 3 different endings in his other game "Once in a Lifetime", so I would assume that multiple endings are a given for Eternum.

Endings. Which one did I miss?
Here, but let's not talk about OIAL here, this is the Eternum thread, and while both are Cari's game it's better to not go off topic too much. ;)

i dont know why Orion did nothing to that box when he defeated that man in storge! He just leave that box there??
I'm pretty sure they mentioned that once the box is set on an npc it can't be changed and so it would only work on that one kid. That and they know the praetorians are nearby looking for it. Why risk it if its essentially worthless now? Better to have the praetorians stumble upon it then find it in MC's inventory.

Crazy idea here but, since we know Thanatos is dead, doesn't that kinda make him an NPC? What if Orion used the box on him?

That would depend if he still has the implant or not. Recall that the NPC at the entrance to the Ulysses party mentioned that their behavior is controlled by said implant in their being, which allowed Linus' box to affect said implant to begin with. Considering Wyatt looks like he has his memories intact, then he either no longer has it inside him OR he still has it but is resisting its programming through sheer force of will.

Yeah, you're right about that, didn't think of the implant. I highly doubt he still has it, as it would not only wipe his memory but also probably make him at least slightly mindless, surely unaware that this was a game, and more of a lap dog to Ulyses. Well, there goes my theory. :ROFLMAO:

I think that hack only would have worked on living people in the real world, which was the reason MC and Nancy went toThanatos home in the first place, because at that point they didn't know he was an NPC. But I might be misremembering.

I thought that maybe, just maybe Orion can teleport his mom to see him? because Nancy still have contact with her

That would be dangerous, but I'm not sure they will fight to death
Hadn't thought about that. Yeah, that would be a very cool way to get him to open up to Orion.

Might be best to hide some of that under spoiler tags, for those that haven't played to that point yet.

After what he told Orion when he brought his mother up at the end of their 2nd fight I have my doubts. More likely for him to kill her if she shows up IMO.

Didn't Nova have some hack to steal stones from others too?
Likely wouldn't work considering what we now know of Eternum's true nature and Orion's observation regarding the gems after Nan's impromptu yoga session.
