Suscribestar allows incest content while Patreon forbids it, but it seems to be less popular and is limited with its payment methods for suscribers so devs on Suscribestar may make less money than those on Patreon

Ahh okay, I see. Yeah, it's a darn shame SubscribeStar is the less popular one. It seems to give it's users more freedom. Oh well, it is what it is. Wish it weren't it that way it is like it is, is, though.

Subscribestar does not allow it, they have the same restrictions as Patreon. The reason games can get away with it on Subscribestar is because they don't get big enough to get their attention when those games break Subscribestar's rules. If Caribdis were to move fully to Subscribestar and gain a following there as big as his Patreon following, he'd be unable to make incest content because then he'd get banned. The only way to do it is to give up meaningful revenue.

Yup, games get away with it on Subscribestar more often but they're still breaking the rules. And that's because it's not their rules, it's rules that the credit card companies tell them to enact because those companies are afraid of the legal liability that comes along with allowing transactions related to sex and won't do business with a site like Patreon or Subscribestar if those sites won't put basic protections in place.

Gotta say, I'm not a fan of how lewd scenes are forced on you in what seems like just taking the decent human being choices. Want to go help Nova instead of Calypso? Get your dick sucked. Hell, it annoys me so much that you can't even go to Dalia's competition if you don't bet her to suck your dick.
I would very much prefer it, if you could take those choices and then after the "help person" bit is over, you can choose to take it further and get diddled or not.
But I guess thats my own fault for wanting to do a solo run in a harem game. Lesson learned.
Anyways. I threw away my Nancy save and I'm just doing the harem save now. Game is still really cool and fun. I don't know why but Orion and Alex eating sushi at the start of the party cracked me up so much. I'm still half-and-half on whether the Founder is an AI or not. This thing that was brought up about Eternum maybe being a real place(s) after all kinda mucks with that. Maybe he's from another world. Wonder if Calypso can be brought into the "real" world if thats the case, since she's probably a real person too.
Also, those whispers when Orion meets the Founder are curious. "You have to remember" "Get out" "Don't believe his lies". Spoopy. Also, the Founder created the Gems, Idriel created the Weapons, huh. That bit about sacrificing innocents to save the ones you love is super ominous. Some heavy shit is coming up.

As for the top part of your comment, I somewhat agree, somewhat disagree. While I do take your point, and it is a very good point, two points from the other side of the argument come to mind:
1. Eternum is a porn game. A very good porn game! But still a porn game. So, it'd be counterproductive for it to not deliver on the porn aspect of it, especially in those kinds of moments.
2. I feel like if Caribdis were to instead go with simply giving Orion the option to continue, or to end the scene before any clothes come off, the same criticisms would be given to the moments you're talking about, because it's still Orion getting his dick sucked, y'know?
That's just how I see it, though. I don't imagine everybody agrees.

Love the guy and his work, but there's no way someone who is full time developing, like Caribdis, could afford to drop Patreon, even if he wanted the thrill of telling a big corp to fuck off.
Also, as it turns out, incest is an integral part to the soul of Leaving DNA - not having that moment would compromise the story being told. I'm not sure a Dalia-Penny-Nancy troika is essential to Eternum. It's just a thrill for some pervs - not a hill worth dying on.

I also didn't expect the ratio of subscribers on Patreon to be so high! Of course, this is a scenario where both exist. If SubscribeStar was to be the only option, as I am hypothesising, then SubscribeStar would definitely have more. Enough to make up the difference? I doubt it.
Someone was also saying that SubscribeStar has the same rules about incest anyway, it's just that it is such a small platform that it rarely gets enforced, so the whole idea is moot - damn Payment Processors trying to stick their noses where they don't belong.
I guess, ultimately, while a scene with Penny, Dalia and Nancy would be awesome, it is not a dealbreaker. It is still an awesome game, even if it is creatively stunted by censorious busybodies. I wonder if Cari would avoid any kind of familial relationships between LIs on his new game to avoid this?

Besides, that's what dreams are for.Plus he obviously spends quite some of it on Eternum again, which would likely mean devastating cuts for the remainder of game if he suddenly lost a big chunk of his income. So it's understandable if he's extra careful, even with something like watching family members. Patreon's rage is, at times, triggered quickly and irreversibly.
And let's face it. Even without Carter-combo-meals the remaining updates will hardly get every combination that people would like to see otherwise, so I'll take what I can get, since it will likely be hot anyway
Fantasize about all the combinations that you want, just don't expect them in-game.
