I got a question...
During the first morning before school... When Orion is talking to Dalia, there is a couple of statements that as someone from the UK I find puzzling!?
1. Orion struggles to know what the difference between miles or kilometers are? Errrm in the uk we use miles as well. Just like the USA.
2. School uniforms are mandatory in ALL schools in mainland uk... Yet Orion says he didn't have to wear one? As far as I was aware, was that pretty much all of the usa you don't have to wear uniforms? (Apart from kredon in this case lol)
Many people don't realise the UK still uses miles. In the scene Dalia jokes about about him going 'full European and leaving the "freedom units" behind', which is funny because the reason the US uses miles is they inherited it from England. The UK is part of Europe, so easy assumption to make that they would use kilometres like most of Europe.
Most, but not all, schools in the UK require uniforms, so it could be said Orion went to one of the few that do not. But this is also probably down to not doing much research into these things.
There is at least one mistake about the US as well. There's a scene where Chang talks about them going out for a beer. There are as far as I am aware no states in the US which would allow them to drink at 18. Drinking age is 21.
These are small things. I noticed them but they don't in any significant way detract from enjoying the game so I let them slide. It's a fantasy game so I decided this is a fantasy version of the world where the 'mistakes' are just differences between that reality and ours.
