Orion's entire character early on is that he's a guy who wants to make a name for himself and score some girls (as he had mentioned to Chang back at the train ride). He DOES get better later on, but it's a character flaw that he basically carries up until a certain crucial point in the story.
In what way changes his behaviour after that certain crucial point in the story?
In very simple terms he goes from asking and trying to just simply doing.
I would see the change differently. He switches from "wanting to get ass" to realizing he actually cares for them and wants to take their emotions into consideration (within the constrains of AVN harem logic of course).

We all know Caribdis has created some immaculate asses, but that's not all he's good at
