I am sure Someone who is on the top of the level of their work can easily acquire new skills,A man like Caribdis would surely up his game with Daz with in a few seasons,Skill gap would be for people who dont put enough time and focus,This guy is churning cream of the crop renders currently in HS ,I am sure he can learn DAZ,The Initial hiccups can be overcome with time
I have no doubt Caribdis could pick up Daz and learn to get good with it. But they're very different programs and proficiency with HS2 wouldn't transfer to being good with Daz at all. So it'd take time, and likely slow production down for at least a while.

The entire conversation is moot anyway since Caribdis has made their thoughts on moving to Daz pretty clear. They're not a fan.

It doesn’t matter with me. However, I do find most HS game to be quite more interesting compared to Daz in terms of story. Eternum is one of few games that can legit beat out most Daz games. Caribdis is really good at giving a good experience with his games.

I mean, it all boils down to personal preference. Cari likes the art style of HS2 as opposed to Daz3D that he's fine with not even getting published on Steam. He's also mentioned (tho I can't find the exact quote) that if he's gonna switch renderers it'll be for a Honey Select 2 successor (or something similar that allows him to use the same art style) with a flexible modding and character creation system, not Daz3D.

TL;DR, let devs like what they fucking like.

This has been very consistent I agree.
No it isn't. Dalia had a hairstyle change in 0.3 (which made her look so different people thought Cari changed her face model until the man himself said no) but she didn't get a scene. Nancy debuted her long hairstyle in 0.6 but she didn't get a scene. Annie changed her hairstyle to long braids in 0.7 but she didn't get a scene. There is no pattern, Cari just likes to change a character's looks from time to time, is all.

The walkthrough mod doesn't even tell you that choice closes the Penelope path, but not just that it straight up removes her as a character lol

Haha so let me get this straight. You want a dev who is at the top of his game and one of the most successful currently. His stories all include fantasy powers and places, switching from HS which makes that possible to Daz where even a normal street looks horrendous, let alone a fantasy world or any powers.

And let's say he does his best to make something unique with quality like that of Ocean Games. We would have to wait 1.5 years for an update. What a great suggestion. That guy is a fucking genius.

This is an HS2 game. The dev prefers HS2. That is the style of game he wants. Coming in here and wistfully talking about turning it into a nightmare horror game by switching to Daz3D monsters who give you syphilis just by appearing on your monitor is as pointless as coming here and saying, wouldn’t it be great if this was an NTR game and Chang got to bang all the girls while you looked on and cried. It’s pointless and annoying.

...with unnatural proportions that go well beyond overdoing it with a breast size slider or something.
This is hardly just a Daz thing, but a thing with AVNs in general. Nancy and Penny hardly have realistic proportions, for example.

I think it might be a little less jarring to see unrealistic proportions in HS games though because you have less expectation of women looking realistic.

The anime style look definitely helps. I think HS breasts having some jiggle and apparent softness to them is also a factor. Daz breasts, if the animator isn't excellent, look stiff and plastic like a barbie doll. Which is even more apparent if they're huge.

That's not what I meant. What I meant is that frequently in Daz models, different parts of the body just don't fit together. Similar to a knee bending the wrong way, only more subtle. It gets particularly bad with Daz animations, but is already a problem with static images. That's why for me, HS looks more naturalistic than Daz. (In addition to more beautiful. These are two somewhat independent concerns, although natural and beautiful are obviously related to each other.)

For me, it's not anime style but actually a more natural style given that Daz looks so unnatural. Although I accept the principle. It's probably why I prefer even Koikatsu to Daz: Stylized is better than failed naturalistic.

And yes, breast movement is another issue. Basically, all Daz women have silicone breasts unless they are totally flat.

Yeah, it wouldn't surprise me if the breast physics in HS made a difference. Unlike something like Blender, you have to manually do that in Daz or maybe use a bridge.

It can be animated well in Daz, but it's more work than many basic devs will do. I actually often prefer Daz games to just stick to static renders for this reason.
