I don't play Eternum for the challenge of clicking the right narrative choices or solving the puzzles. It's not a game, it's an AVN. Picking the wrong choice like opening the envelope or accepting the Founder's gift, or not commenting on the pen, and missing out on content is not something I want to do. I just want to see all the content from all the girls I can.
And who can blame you.

like I said in another thread recently, being kinetic is not a bad thing, because everyone chooses the harem path anyways, and majority of choices don't really affect the game, just the ending.
Tho,I love puzzles and choices if they are great :ROFLMAO: The problem is barely any games actually have it

Some of us need to wait even longer, until the multi-mod will be updated
if by any miracle we do get a christmas release and scrapy update his mods as susual in the realease day il share it here for those who want the wt mode, scrapy is the only person i have a sub on patreon to, his mods saved me tons of hours of replays in games where i just wanted to see the story

Good story with nice relationship build up, beautiful LI and decent sex animation, i think these 3 are the core element most people wanted from an AVN, thats why i never understand why some devs trying to added a long ass fight animation which mostly ended up cringe, turn based battle like its a Final Fantasy game or a sandbox element with mindless clicking here and there just to inflate a playing time to give player an illusion that the game has lots of content, if i wanted those then i have plenty of triple A games out there to play at least thats what i thought. thats why game like Eternum and Ripples always be a goat of AVN for me.

For the most part I agree, but occasionally I think it's fun to play something that's just a little different mechanically from the usual AVNs, without it being a completely different kind of game. Sex animations are that important to me though.
But Eternum is an amazing game.

Damn, the choice between the Moon and Penny breaks my heart... Meeting Werewolves is more fun, but Penny's dance is so touching.... Oh, shit...

I was thinking about this thread earlier during my yearly replay. I'm still early on, and as each girl asked me to do something on the first Saturday and the "No" option warned me that it closed their path, if I didn't have that warning there I would have assumed the game was going to punish me for trying to spread myself too thin. My initial instinct would be that the game was trying to force me to pick different activities and miss out on others. In hindsight, I really appreciate that Carib isn't that kind of dev.

I mean, that Saturday is packed though. Workout with Dalia, Yoga with Nancy, study with Alex and photoshoot with Penny.

Saying no to half of those will permanently close their paths with no real warning without a guide of some sort. And sure, there's the official guide, but having to get out of my game and pull that up at every single choice really breaks immersion for me.

I love the sandbox elements. What I hate is the tendency for choices that matter but isn't clear why. As well as gating content behind content that doesn't seem to be relevant to that.

Of course there's puzzle VNs where it's different, but as far as VNs where it's a singular story I think A Man For All got the element of choices in AVN 100% right. It feels like you play your way through it, but you can't miss anything unless you explicitly want to. It just changes the flavour of specific scenes.
