The bank and casino are in separate locations. The bank only has an anti-magic field around the vault itself.

When some of us played OiaL (Once in a Lifetime,bathe first game that Caribdis made) we had the same kind of thought, but after some time playing you start to love it. It's like the first time you saw anime style of drawing, and after some time seeing it you just love it.
Of course the amazing plot and characters both VN have making more easy to rush to play every new update.
